You don't put butane in a Zippo. That would be an extraordinarily bad idea for two reasons:
1. Zippos are not air-tight like butane lighters. Butane is a gas. A small amount might become trapped in the Zippo for a little while, but not long enough to be useful.
2. As a gas, butane is extremely flammable if not controlled. For the 10 seconds that the butane was trapped in the Zippo's spongy interior, the thing'd be a fireball waiting to happen.
Zippos burn (the vapour of) lighter fluid, which contains a liquid hydrocarbon mixture called "naphtha" as the main ingredient.
