Ban people who charge for trials.
Just as it is. Why do you allow paid carries?

12 RepliesWe do regularly ban anyone attempting any soliciting services on bungie.net, as it's against the [url=https://www.bungie.net/7/en/Legal/CodeOfConduct]Code of Conduct[/url]. If you do see this happening, please report the content and we'll get to it as soon as possible.

21 RepliesBungie can only control Bungie.net and if you see someone advertising here use the report system yo inform the Ninjas. Bungie has no control over third party sites and can not tell the difference in game from someone playing with team mates or if it is someone doing a paid recovery/carry. Only if cheating was detected or investigated after players reported them can Bungie tell if something was wrong. You are asking the impossible.

Who cares. Trials is a poopshow as it is. If peeps want to pay a few bucks to get a piece of gear or a triumph. More power to them. There is a guy in florida that will do it for a pizza hut pizza delivered to his dorm. Another guy in Cali will go flawless for 10 bucks. I have even seen them as cheap as 5 on ebay. But like I said, who really wants to whine about it. At least someone is having fun in there. God knows the rest of us aren't.

These guys providing the service get caught on one account they'll have another one ready to go as soon they get banned on one. Bungie should be reporting these guys to whatever platform they're playing on (Sony, Microsoft etc.) & get these guys a hard ban. That would calm it down somewhat at least. Honestly, though I think the people paying for this sh*t are the actual problem. Too many idiots with too much disposable income out there.

Bungo just has realistically no way to identify who's playing on what account, so the bans are impossible to enforce / put into effect. It's unlikely to change. But the folks involved in real money transactions for third party in-game services are breaking the game's usage agreements they agreed on when accessing the game. It's been that way all along.

Well, here’s a perspective from someone who donated $10 bucks one time. Guy had post saying go to his Twitch for free carry. Apparently I won the ‘raffle’ right away! Just wanted one win for trophy. Spent 2 hours with random team with 0 kills. Got PM saying he’d team with me, couple buddies for $10 Paypal. Turns out was for his daughter’s college fund. Heck, $10 bucks, good cause. We won 1.

Paid carries and advertisement of their stream on lfg needs to be addressed period. The whole tab is just flooded with stuff like this instead of legitimate people just trying to get a group together to do activities such as trials, comp, even raids or dungeons. This is the stuff ninjas should be dealing with since it is against the coc. Yet they spend more time taking down posts that talk bad about bungie.

At least on xbox, you can report them on the lfg and they will be removed. Not sure about bungie lfg though

1 ReplyThe amount of people that disagree with you just shows how prevalent the problem is. I agree but there’s few ways to enforce this. I do with Trials was in a state where so many didn’t feel they needed to pay a professional.

Here's my hot take. I don't care about people paying for carries, but with two caveats. 1-this one is "no shit sherlock", but no cheats or hacks of any kind. 2-you must play your character. Even if you're told to hide, you at least have to play the game. This actually means good teams of 3 who run into carries are at an advantage. Yes, this means I am 100% against recoveries. I also understand that with VPNs and actual supply and demand, recovs will continue to exist. I just don't like it. But if someone wants to spend X amount of their hard earned money for help in a video game? Go for it.

11 RepliesGenuine question how does it affect you? In trials you are going to be matching very good players no matter if they are on their own accounts or someone else’s. Doesn’t make a difference, you will likely lose either way. In fact, if anything you should be glad to match recovs because most of the time recovs are severely under equipped. I have a friend who is crazy at this game and does recovs but when he gets someone who is 1020 gear score with no good sniper he still has to provide the service he is being paid for.

1 ReplyService providers create many accounts. They play all day long. Log ins and time played stats are crucial for bungie. The streamers who provide bungie with the most visibility also live on that service. It’s a win win win solution for bungie, especially when the whiners don’t quit playing.

2 RepliesTrials is PvP pinnacle, little tim tim at light level 800 shouldn’t be getting a godroll Eye of Sol if he didn’t earn it. It ruins the incentive. Recovs of any form are a cancer to videogames (streamers and YTs included).
