You Know It's Bad When Shotguns Have More Range Then SMG's

Change my mind [spoiler]Editors note: As in better range I mean for example SMG’s range is close-medium range and shotguns are close range but by the time the shotgunner gets in the SMG range he’ll already be close enough to get into the one shot kill range before you’re able to half health said person[/spoiler] [spoiler]I’d also like to add a comment to this post by PortalToNarNar: [quote]Looking at Mercules Time To Kill chart for smgs shows that they require a high percentage of headshots to hit for them to achieve an optimal time to kill.   • Slug shotguns do in real life. Some can kill at up to 100 yds What is bad is the misconception that a shotgun is a point blank weapon that can’t kill beyond a few feet. A real shotgun—-at the distances they get used in this game—-would blow a hole in someone’s chest big enough to put your fist through.

    • I’m fine with slug shotguns killing at long range since they can’t ohk to the body (as far as I can tell). However other some of these other shotguns are hitting a bit too far. I started seriously using DRB a week or so ago and needless to say I got a number of 40 bombs and I hardly touched my primary for several of them.

    • My favorite scenario is rounding a corner to some big open area, or a long hallway and seeing someone with their shotty flash light at the other end charging towards you with such confidence and no consideration at all to switch weapons and fight at range...and then you put them in the ground with a Backup Plan + Quickdraw Main Ingredient. They'd rather die married to their shotgun than fight at range with any other weapon. It's sad watching the kill feed some times...so many long streaks of shotgun kills... That lack of variety slowly kills any fun there is/was in crucible.

    • You know its bad when we have illegal falling jumping over our borders. I think its time we pressure our vanguard to take some action. I think its time to put pressure on our vanguard to build a wall to keep these illegal fallen out. If they can't come here legally then i say deport these -blam!-ers asap,but Whether we wanted it or not, we've stepped into a war with the Cabal on Mars. So let's get to taking out their command, one by one. Valus Ta'aurc. From what I can gather, he commands the Siege Dancers from an Imperial Land Tank just outside of Rubicon. He's well protected, but with the right team, we can punch through those defenses, take this beast out, and break their grip on Freehold.

          • Max range for non slug shotguns is like 10m compared to antiope that has at least 25m range. Smgs just need a damage buff so they can compete, they don't need more range.
