I would like missions to happen in the moment, instead of a stage select screen.

Yeah, it really makes the game feel less immersive when you have to wait for the timer at the end of a mission, go to orbit, select the next mission, go through 3-5 minutes of a loading screen, and then be able to play the next mission. A seamless transition from one mission to the next would make the story a bit more enticing, in my opinion.
