Many ask for open world. The problem with the concept of open world is that is that it isn't interesting or exciting in and of itself. If destiny currently is open world without more actual content to fill it, who really cares? So you have more beacons and spawns for public events? So what? Oh, I can go to that point over there? Great, the real question is what can I do when I get there. If the answer is more of the same then open world is completely, utterly and in every way unnecessary. Open world is just a tool to deliver the content of a game. Personally if the game is great then it is great whether it is open world or not. Open world games can just as easily be repetitive and boring.
