What about 2 player Crimson Strikes/Nightfalls?

Think Nightfall but with random modifiers each strike. Better rewards. Broken Heart Buff is still active when you're partner goes down. Maybe another modifier is tossed on each consecutive Strike. Rose petal percision kill explosions? A romanticized version of a grunt birthday party. This would have given the PvE players something as well

I'm pretty surprised nobody at Bungie thought of this - unless they did and decided it was a bad idea. Sounds like it'd be pretty easy to implement too, as all the modifiers and Heroic strike playlist already exist, and they were developing the buff for Crimson Doubles anyway. I'd suggest maybe 260 would be fine for difficulty, given you're a man down and it's not designed to be endgame. Plus let's face it, both Crimson Doubles and SRL drop 320 gear and neither require any light at all. It could've been a good thing. Wouldn't have been a miracle cure for the PvE drought, but it would've made a decent distraction for a week or so. EDIT: I might also suggest a revive timer. Maybe not a full 30 seconds like the Nightfall, but 10 or 15. Give you a chance to make use of that Broken Heart buff.
