I'm pretty surprised nobody at Bungie thought of this - unless they did and decided it was a bad idea. Sounds like it'd be pretty easy to implement too, as all the modifiers and Heroic strike playlist already exist, and they were developing the buff for Crimson Doubles anyway. I'd suggest maybe 260 would be fine for difficulty, given you're a man down and it's not designed to be endgame. Plus let's face it, both Crimson Doubles and SRL drop 320 gear and neither require any light at all. It could've been a good thing. Wouldn't have been a miracle cure for the PvE drought, but it would've made a decent distraction for a week or so. EDIT: I might also suggest a revive timer. Maybe not a full 30 seconds like the Nightfall, but 10 or 15. Give you a chance to make use of that Broken Heart buff.

  • Nope jeep the higher light make it fun. I do strikes by myself all the time and people quit so often that most people are down a guy often enough. It will be just like usual. This weeks nightfall was hard as hell by yourself but not impossible..... Except I didnt win I only got to the brothers and miserably lost a lot.

  • Yeah, I wouldn't be averse to a higher light level either as it'd still be doable with two, like the Nightfall. I was thinking more that it's not endgame so in theory might be more in line with Heroics, just tougher because of the smaller fireteam and modifiers. Anyway. It's all just wishful thinking for now!

  • True that. But we who want PVE events want more in general so why not end game status? Make it a week long event that returns every month like IB? Although they just announced Destiny2 today. As well as more PVe content to come....

  • ^^^This, this, and this. I've posted a few times about an idea I saw where a random faction of our enemies engages in an Attack against the City. Or at least against our Walls. I'd love to have a map that acted as an enormous battlefield, where a squad of Guardians fights against ever-increasing waves of Darkness. Like a WARSAT, but longer-lasting and without such a steep difficulty increase. Where was that post...? Aha! "I remember reading a couple of posts over the past months about some really neat PvE ideas for limited time events: periodic attacks on the City, or other locations of interest. Think "the enemy moves against each other", but they're moving on us! We spend a week or two literally [i]waging war[/i] with the forces of the Darkness: It's Wednesday. You make your weekly trip to the Tower to pick up your Armsday orders from Banshee, and maybe even place a few new orders. You've just finished examining your weapon - everything seems in order - and are in the process of handing over the Gunsmith's Glimmer when an alarm suddenly blares throughout the Tower courtyard. There's a roar of engines overhead and you turn to see Cabal Harvesters dropping out of the sky. One of them barely misses the Tower before descending upon the City below. All those people are in danger. You drop Banshee's Glimmer on the table and bolt for the Hangar. Hopefully the first shuttle hasn't left yet, because you need to get down to the City proper, and fast...."

  • I love the idea but the game as it stands has nothing like it. Hopefully a legit expansion could make it possible but realistically that sounds more like a D2 concept if not an expansion for destiny 2. Even though it wouldn't really make since technically I wouldn't mind a major update to PoE. [spoiler]As in the game will not explain how they are being contained[/spoiler] A few new levels for each faction and several for the taken. The taken portions get no explanation it just is a thing. Maybe even make the level cap be a few above player caps that way it is extremely challenging. Simple changes would even suffice. 6 player patrols closed to the public. Put all patrol events back into rotation. Allowing the drops to happen again as well. [spoiler]Blades and wolf packs/ chests[/spoiler]This mode could be solo or in a fire team. Every patrol would have this available. Along with new public events for regular patrol and this new version. Maybe even random named majors and ultras that are just there and do not leave until killed. Also they could be on a random timer. ------Another idea could be to put your idea into a selectable event rather than random announcements in the tower.-------Meaning maybe DLC On that note making more random NpC quests would be cool. Maybe they are simple bounties. Something silly like- "I am considering getting telesto from Xur today can you kill 100 fallen with one for me?" Xur would be selling one. Maybe its a choice between PVe and PVP? It would say this or that. With this it would be nice to double the bounties held. Also each vender and faction should all have bounties. There should be maybe around 40-50 that refresh daily/ weekly for you to choose from. IB- Trials- Events- stuff like that can be weekly still. The gun smith should also have a ridiculous amount of weapons to test some being very tough. Specifically a PVP weapon being hard to do like, Kill 5 guardians without dying 2-5 times. Maybe twenty or more. Just a few ideas that seem implementable. Oh and factions should sell yr 1-2 weapons and armor. At appropriate levels and or new upgraded levels that way we can look a lot more unique.

  • I'd be against the lower light level as the Heart Broken buff would be as crucial as it is in Elimination. Thank you though, I am surprised Bungie's live team didn't consider this. But I am starting to think they don't have any PvE devs on the team and they are all working on the next dlc and full release.
