Okay hello everyone I'm SEV THE DEV, well just a wannabe dev but oh nevermind. I know it's been awhile but real life takes effort/time, apologies, my friends. By just looking at the title, you are probably wondering if there is a hidden PVE side to Crimson Days Event. Or perhaps you can see though it and know exactly where I am going with this. Either way I hope you enjoy the read. WARNING THIS IS A LONG READ, there is a TL;DR at the bottom just in case you don't want to spend a good 30 minutes reading the details of everything. Courtesy of ~A Smoke Bomb~ who brought it to my attention. “Crimson Days is a time for the two lights to grow closer and the bond between them stronger. By working together with a partner allows your combined light to achieve levels not attainable during the rest of the terrestrial year.” – The Speaker Crimson Days is a week-long event starting February 9th in which two guardians can share a bond to complete a series of challenges. Complete more challenges to unlock event specific gear and even earn that elusive 320 light loot. Event Vendor: The Speaker Event Gear: Ghost Shells: Ghost of the Crimson Bond: Red ghost shell with flashing white and pink heart in the center of its “eye”. Flamboyant Ghost: Bright Pink ghost with a sort of glow to it. Chocolate Shell: Chocolate brown shell that winks its brown eye. (By Big Scotty) Shaders: Lovestruck: Shader similar to glowhoo only replaced by bright pink and darker tones of red. Red and Rosey: Rose and white shader with fancy decorative lines forming rose outlines throughout, similar to the Prism Dancer decorative lines. Ships: Across the sky: Ship, Rose and white, something that looks different from other ships, much like how the Iron banner ship “Birth of history” stood out. Maybe a large disc with several flame jets on the back. Flavor text: "…And across the sky, I will love you, to the ends of the earth…" Fly me to the moon: (By Taco Saturday) Flavor text: "Let me see what spring is like, on Jupiter and Mars. " Weapons: All event weapons come with a perk “Share the Love” that heals fire team members by half as much damage it deals in pvp. So a 3 shot kill hand cannon in PvP will take 6 shots to fully heal a fire team member. Or a 1hko point blank shotgun blast to kill would instead take 2 point blank shots to fully heal. The rocket fully heals anybody in the blast radius, except you, you still blow yourself up. IMPORTANT the perk “Share the Love” only works IN PVE no healing in PVP. Fatal Attraction: Scout rifle with Last Extremity base stats Flavor Text: “Let’s just say, I’ve fallen in love with precision.” – Tevis Third Wheel: Pulse rifle with Praedyth’s Timepiece base stats. Flavor text: “Nothing stops attraction like a third wheel…” - Ikora Rey Attraction Equation: Auto rifle with Monte Carlo base stats. Flavor Text: “The closer I am to my target, the more bullets hit their mark?” – Fenrir Solstice Heart Breaker: Hand cannon with Eyasluna base stats. Flavor text: “I don’t do this on purpose, it eh, sort of just happens…” – Cayde-6 Secret Admirer: Sniper rifle with Efrideets spear/Black spindle base stats. Flavor text: “Beautiful! Just Beautiful!” – K. Setsuno Mine: Shotgun with secret handshake base stats. Flavor text: “YOU CAN’T HAVE HER!!” – Nikolas-6 Fiery Passion: Fusion rifle with quick charge low impact. Flavor text: “Inside I feel the burning of a thousand suns, when you are close…” – Aria Freemont By your side: Silenced Sidearm with Ironwreath-D base stats. Flavor text: “Is where I belong…” – Elethia Crowd Pleaser: Rocket launcher with Radegast’s fury base stats. Flavor text: “Everyone enjoys the fireworks...” – Cayde-6 Until Death: Machine gun with BTRD base stats. Flavor text: “Don’t worry, we won’t part, I have too much ammo for that…” – Garrett Murdock Armor: Armor is just a reskin of various vendor and iron banner Items from year 1 with names like Crimson Vestments (warlock robes), Mask of the Lover (hunter helmet), Grips of Eternal Passion (titan gauntlets). Etc. I don’t really want to come up with all these so forgive me. They give special stat boots based on if you are close to members of your fire team. Boosts are based on the armor type so Boots with have an Agility buff, Chest armor will have an Armor buff, Gloves have a weapon handling speed buff, and Helmets have a Recovery buff. IMPORTANT These buffs are PVE only. Currencies: Crimson Candy: You share a bond as a couple, Gives you the Crimson Bond buff which increases all stats the closer you are to your lover. Required to enter any tier of Crimson Challenges, item is consumed upon entry of any tier Crimson Challenge. Can be purchased from the speaker for 500 glimmer + 5 motes of light. Also drops frequently from majors/ultras in any tier Crimson Challenges. Crimson Token: Currency used to purchase event items from The Speaker. Earned by killing bosses in Crimson Challenges. Crimson Infuser: Item to boost light level of selected Crimson Days gear by 10 light levels. Can be purchased from The Speaker or dropped from Daily Crimson Challenge Bosses. Prices of Vendor items: Any armor at 300 light cost 5 Crimson Tokens. Any weapon at 300 light cost 10 Crimson Tokens. Ghost shells at 300 light and shaders cost 3 Crimson Token. Crimson Infuser cost 5 Crimson Tokens. So if you want to get 1 piece of 320 gear you purchase a 300 item from The Speaker, and use 2 Crimson infusers on it. The price to get one 300 light armor piece to 320 is 5+5+5=15 Crimson Tokens. The price to get one 300 light weapon to 320 is 10+5+5 = 20 Crimson Tokens. The price to get a 300 light ghost shell to 320 is 3+5+5=13 Crimson Tokens. If you want to get 3 sets of armor, all 10 weapons, and both ghosts to 320 it will cost 26+75+200=301 Crimson Tokens. You would still be able to use regular items to infuse Crimson Days Gear so the Crimson infuser would only be used to get from 310 to 320 which would cut the amount of Tokens needed in half. Crimson Challenges: Lowest tier Challenge with chances at 300 light loot from Event Loot Table. Can be done as many times as you want. Story Mission with a few modifiers. Your first completion each day, per character, has guaranteed 300 light loot and 1 Crimson Token. Bosses have a 50% chance to drop an additional 1 Crimson Token and a 10% chance to drop 300 light gear on every run. The guaranteed loot stacks on top of your chance at loot so you may get 2 items in one run. You can collect rewards from this as many times as you want as long as you have a Crimson Candy and a partner to run it with. Daily Crimson Challenge: Medium Tier Challenge with chances at 310 light loot from Event Loot Table. Can be done as many times as you want. Story Mission with More modifiers, Feels like a year 1 nightfall. Your first 3 completions this week, per character, have guaranteed 310 light loot and 5 Crimson Tokens. Bosses have a 50% chance to drop an additional 5 Crimson Tokens and a 33% chance to drop 310 light gear. The guaranteed loot stacks on top of your chance at loot so you may get 2 items in one run. You can only collect loot once per character per day. Weekly Crimson Challenge: Top Tier Challenge with Guaranteed 320 light loot from Event Loot Table. Can be done as many times as you want. Strike Mission with Many modifiers, Feels like playing halo on legendary. Guaranteed 320 light loot and 10 Crimson Tokens for one and only completion per character. Boss will have a 50% chance to drop an additional 10 Crimson Tokens. You can only collect loot once per character. This is a total of 21 items of 300 light, 9 items of 310 light, and 3 items of 320 light, guaranteed. There is still chances for 300 and 310 in their respective challenges. The guaranteed Crimson Tokens from various Crimson Challenges is 76 with chances at more. Dismantle Gear Yes?? Dismantling Event Gear will give you 1-2 Crimson Tokens, armor materials/weapon parts, glimmer, and legendary marks. Breaking down all guaranteed loot drops will net you 33-66 Crimson Tokens. Crimson Challenge Modifiers: Incapacitated: You can only revive your partner after 30 seconds like normal mode raids Together we stand: Increased damage resistance and when both partners are alive. Together we fall: If both partners fall, they are returned to orbit. Magnetism: Increased movement speed when in close proximity to one another. All regular modifiers are still in rotation but these are in every Crimson Challenge by default and the Weekly Crimson Challenge also has RAINBOW BURN!! Crimson Challenge Buffs: Passionate Rage: You gain a buff to all stats (Just like the Crimson doubles buff) for 30 seconds after your partner has fallen. Heart Broken: You gain a stacking debuff to speed (Just like weight of darkness) until you revive your partner. This does not affect you until after Passionate Rage expires. Joy of the Bond: Reviving your partner grants both of you a recharging over shield for 20 seconds. TL;DR Crimson Days is an event similar to the original queens wrath that gives new guns and armor, has missions and strikes with more and more modifiers to make it feel like year 1 nightfalls and halo on legendary. Includes both RNG and non RNG rewards, including 3 guaranteed 320 items and a clear progression path to 320 for other Event items. So that’s it folks, tune in some other time for more Unofficial Patch Notes. Tell me what you think, vote on the poll, leave comments and all that jazz. -->SEV out-->
