What are people spending all their weapon parts on? I still have literally thousands?

Now it takes about 60 or 70 for weapon all said and done maybe a little more for exotics, if you leave a basic load out on each character of a few exotics a couple snipers, a couple heavies, a couple primaries and rank all of them above 300 you will need a lot of parts

infusion and iv never had many to begin with my highest iv ever had at once way maybe 200

Yeah, must be nice. But those of us who have only just begun new characters with TTK don't have literally thousands or even literally hundreds. I know having the literally thousands because I switched from Xbox 360 where I did have that much. I have now as of five days ago moved to PS4 and I have literally none at the moment. Grinding out for uncommon and rare engrams is tedious with how little weapon engrams drop compared to armor engrams. It's literally ridiculous. Weapon parts should not be that much of a grind. What are we using weapon parts on? Leveling weapons, purchasing telemetry, infusing. What else would we be using them for?

Chill dude, I infuse and level up weapons too. But my weapon parts are still increasing because I just use an infusing calculator to lower the amount I spend. And some people used them as a way to level factions which wouldn't be a smart move.

Even with using an infusion calculator, the ratio for weapon parts we need for each weapon over how many weapon parts we receive for each weapon we break down is stupid. I have never, since Day 1, seen my weapon parts become nonexistent in my inventory. Also, even with using an infusion calculator, it's still going to take you some weapons to go through to get it exactly 310. So this grind is kind of ridiculous.
