[PSA] [Completed] Maintenance Scheduled Today
Hello!
On Thursday September 3, Destiny will be going offline for a scheduled maintenance.
The maintenance will start at 8 AM PDT and will end at around 2PM PDT.

Players signed in shortly before maintenance will receive prior notice via in-game messaging.
Some may receive Error Code: Stinkbug, this is expected during maintenance so please be patient until the all clear has been given.
Once maintenance is over, all services and Destiny login functionality will be restored.

If you are having trouble starting up Destiny, please close destiny, and reset your console. This should let you back in the next time you log in. (If you still can't get back on, try again in a little bit since it takes time for all servers to get back on.)

9 RepliesWth. I was actually thinking about buying the new release. It _had_ to be a step up from the original beta they forced on us. So I started playing again. My time for play is very limited right now. Just during the day. And so the lazy bastards decide to do maintenance smack in the middle of the time period they aren't supposed to. _All_ maintenance is supposed to be done between 1am and 6am EST. Most companies just follow this without a comment. Bungie however proves that they couldn't care less about the people that buy their stuff. Goodbye.

2 RepliesIs there anywhere online where this schedule is published in advance? First I heard of it is when I logged back into the game after doing something else for an hour or so, I logged in, got an automated warning about server maintenance and got about 5 minutes of gameplay in before I got booted. What if I were doing, oh, I don't know, some high level end game content that doesn't have checkpoints, that many players only have 5 days or so to complete to get their Moments of Triumph? An event that takes a lot of first timers hours to complete? I don't think roughly an hour's notice (based on my experience) would have sufficed. I imagine all across the world people are calling their insurance companies to ask about accidental damage on electrical goods because after their third wipe at second mines they got an imminent server maintenance warning and threw their controller through their television.
