Well selling my xbox one...
Gonna sell my xbox one and all my games and buying ps4 the taken king edition, pre ordering BO3 and fall out 4

BTW got a few people asking me why the switch, basically, xbox released an update for my controller, which I thought was interesting, so I accept and the update starts and it says there was an error and my controller shuts off, no big I'll just turn it on and retry. But wait, controller wont turn on, damn time to hit the forums for the solution... I try several things, failure after failure so let's talk to xbox support they will know what to do. I call them we try a few things then he says nothing we can do at this point, ok fair enough technology fails us time to time. So I ask what do we do from here the response, buy a new controller. I say, wait, I got this controller 2 months ago, he says ok ok let's get your numbers.. ok here ya go, he responds with looks like you have a day one edition of the xbox one. Yes sir I reply, my original controller got a spill on it so I bought this beauty. Then what he says next just stumped me, he tells me "all warranty on accessories and controllers are attached with the console, you can buy 5 tomorrow and warranty will be void because the age of your console..... arguments happen supervisors get on the phone, then finally I get hung up on.... I have nothing against the console itself other then the crooks who manufacturer the console. That's why I switched.

I'd say it's not supports probly.. They offer $4 insurance that covers anything that happens to it about any place you buy can buy a controller. I'd say it's your fault for not spending the 5% or so of the controller cost to cover your own ass.

5 Repliesthats happened to me, if you cut the update short or it messes up, the controller is not able to be used. if you cant figure out how to fix it, maybe you should switch to PS4 it is the console for stupid people

Not to sway you because I have a ps4 and love it but here is a story for you. I bought a ps4 on ebay (I buy used video games from there all the time and thought this would be alright). So, the guy ships it to me and for some reason it starts up and the immediately stops. So, I call up Sony and they tell me to send it in my ps4. Long story short I did this 3 times! Each time they sent me a broken console. I was completely fed up and they wouldn't give me a refund. I was just stuck in a constant loop of sending broken consoles in. After the fourth broken console, I thought maybe there was something wrong with my cords but I bought new ones and it didn't fix it. Finally, on the 5th console I had my hands on, it worked. So, it turns out they actually did send me 3 broken consoles plus the broken one I originally received. The one I have now hasn't had a single problem and I love it. All I am saying is, there are unfortunate occurrences with every company and which company it is doesn't really make a difference when you are unlucky to begin with.

1 ReplyYeah customer service is shit for ms without a doubt, i've had so many issues I ended up just ignoring because it wasn't worth the hassle. Don't think I'd rebuy this game though if I switched now, too close to November when a bunch of games will make my destiny play time non-existent.

1 ReplyYou are really switching to ps4 for this reason? In my experience, it's all about the person you talk to and how you carry yourself. I would've called back and eventually you would've talked to someone who was willing to help you given your situation. I'd also just like to point out that this could've easily happened to you with Sony. You are complaining about a customer service issue and then ultimately blame it on the manufacturers? To each their own though, have fun on ps4 guardian.

Got the run around from Microsoftstore and Xbox who both tell me it's the others' warranty dept who can help me. Both suck. Big corporations go cheap on building shit and then don't own up to their defective products.

Supposed to fix the majority of complaints with the system. All my friends are on Xbox so that's why I chose. No point in having a system without my friends.

That's why I switched.[/quote] Similar has happened to me today and I've ordered the same ps4 lol,turned my Xbox on today to be greeted with a permanent green screen,contacted Xbox live to be told as my console is day one its out of warranty ,I can get it fixed myself more than likely for around £30 or thereabouts. I'm looking forward to trying destiny on ps4 and getting the exclusives early,I'll still play on Xbox one but I can see me being on ps4 a lot more as I'll need to start the grind again,luckily I can get one guardian up to level 25 straight away with that spark of light. It's going to be shitty looking for raid groups though as my grimoire will be non existent,hopefully a few of my friends will follow me over as I know a few are considering having both next gen.
