When will religion finally die out?
Most likely not in my lifetime unless there is a definitive scientific discovery that disproves all gods, and not even theists can deny it. It will happen eventually though, the amount of atheists is climbing, and people are slowly leaving that bullshit behind. Not fast enough though..
It was born out of ignorance, but will die through knowledge.

Religion itself does not need to die out and I highly doubt that it will. What does need to die out are the extremists that give religions their bad reputation. Most religions are founded on admirable beliefs but it is only when people pervert those teachings and we get extremists. So religions can stay but extremists have got to go.
