Trials of Osirus as expected

Very disappointing to most and very underwhelming but it was expected. This is not a rant, or me complaining this is a simple summary of what the ideal is. Trials of osirus was built to be unfair to an extent and people who deny this are the ones who already won or the ones who understand this and use these tools Now the unfair advantages come down to defense grade, armor level, gear perks, and weapons. I will not go into detail about these but this is what is triggering so many problems in PVP as it is. the truth of it is this PVP is a drain a push for the limits of team work but at the same time it is also a test of patience, dealing with most of the people in the trials can be a trial itself. Most of the mechanics that take over other PVP game types are still running rampant, for those who use them they win for those who don't well most would say get gud...... The truth of the trials is it is an small basic addition to the DLC to please the "HARD CORE" PVP fans of destiny and as such should be treated as an optional thing, I have people who have made it to the new social location and its only purpose is to give the trials a sense of worth in the grand scheme of things. Other wise it would just be another PVP game type. The conclusion and answer is if you dislike, are bad, or in general have no need to go into "HARD CORE" PVP do not enter the trials and give the people who do have the ideals on this area a free pass into this optional content. If they would like to earn their content them let them burn each other out.

    • Sooo, let me get this straight, the people who ground for 100's and 100's of hours have an unfair advantage over those that don't or haven't? And that's bad how? That's like saying it's unfair that a level 8 can't do a hard mode raid. Am I reading you right?

      • Dude it doesn't matter. It only costs like 100 glimmer. Only 2 matches or so to get a package. And you get to play a new game mode

I am not an overly good PVP player but I got 2 9-win cards and have been to the Lighthouse. With an LFG group. So there's that.

          • Wait, your complaint is that Trials is meant to be end-game PvP and has level advantages enabled? You must also hate Iron Banner.

          • You can literally buy the gear required to hit 32, and you can buy weapons to roll for PvP perks. Gally is not required nor is any exotic. Stop complaining TLDR shut up Meg

Some people just like to collect gear (like myself) which is why I've always participated in Iron Banner Events. I mostly did it so I could be Level 32 without looking like everyone else. Now that's not really a problem since people can Ascend any Legendary armor. But I also did it for the weapons. I use Efrideet's Spear, Felwinter's Lie and Jolder's Hammer in PvE because they all have top of their class impact. I re-rolled all my IB weapons for good PvE perks. I like to have the best gear for PvE even if that means I've gotta play PvP to get it. Unfortunately there's just not enough time (for someone with a life) to become a master of PvP and PvE and get everything done every week, so I choose to spend my time getting Raids done every week rather than playing Crucible. If the lag and disconnections weren't so bad, maybe I would play it outside of events like Iron Banner and the Trials. But it's already frustrating enough dealing with the lack of variety in the Crucible (same maps, everyone uses the same weapons and tactics) so I don't need to deal with lag and error codes too. But I do it anyway, in hopes of getting some gear that the majority of players won't have. It's not about being a "special snowflake" it's just that I'm a collector and a completionist. I like to have everything. So you have people like me, who don't consider themselves PvP players, playing Iron Banner & the Trials to get the gear. It's not that we want to be there but we go in anyway because we are dedicated. So all the elitist PvP players that tell us to stay out only fuel our drive to succeed. We might not be as "skilled" as them when it comes to spamming The Last Word, Thorn and the Vex Mythoclast, but we know how to run the Aegis (Relic) and Sword of Crota. We've carried scrubs through raids, Nightfalls, and Weekly Heroic Strikes. We've dealt with all the weapon nerfs that PvP players cried for. We've had to grind away at bounties and do patrols to get our Faction Shaders. So don't call PvE players "casuals" and tell us to stay out of PvP. This game is 90% PvE so we are the majority. We might be getting shit on by Bungie because they'd rather "balance" weapons based on PvP but that hasn't and won't stop us from adapting and prevailing. We are the real hardcore players because we like to experience everything the game has to offer. The Crucible "tryhards" that haven't done a Raid are the real "casuals".
*mic drop*
