[b][u]Episode 4: Collision[/u][/b]‎ "I hear a few coming!" Cayde-6 warned as he and the members of Fireteam X trekked through darkness. "Don't bother with them, they're a distraction, if Moluk is attempting what I think she is, we're all doomed." Toland replied, quickening his pace. "Dredgen shouldn't have gone in alone." Kabr glanced behind them, checking that they weren't followed. The corridor they were following opened up into an enormous cavern, the Hive Seeder hanging in the centre. "Now what?" Cayde asked. "Now you die..." the whole room came to life as a horde of Thrall, Acolytes, and Knights flooded the cavern, crawling out of the walls, bursting out of the ground, emerging from the pools of darkness. At the head of the army was Moluk, as she floated overhead, an Ogre of impressive size stomped up next to her, only a foot below her, which was saying something because she was six meters in the air. "Toland the Shattered! What a surprise to find you back in my domain, I had hoped that Nycor had taught you a valuable lesson about stealing from me, but I guess you never learn!" she cackled with glee. "Charming as ever Moluk, I assume you're trying to resurrect Crota?" he asked. "And if you even think you're pet could have bested me, you're in for a shock." "Crota? No. Sister Omnigul tried that, and she failed. Crota rised regardless, and you guardians still managed to destroy him. It was obvious to me that we needed a fresh start, a different Son of Oryx." she gestured to a pool of what looked like molten lava. Toland squinted, noticing a body floating in the pool, he gasped. "Is that-?" "Behold Urrox, Flame Prince! Brother of Crota, Son of Oryx! He will lead the Hive in the act of cleansing earth of it's filth, starting with you three." Moluk sneered, and screamed out an order to her forces, who immediately began advancing. Kabr raised his weapon, taking aim at Moluk. "We will stop you! The hive will never cleanse Earth!" As the three began backing away from the advancing horde, Toland smiled. "Moluk, I believe you have miscalculated something for once." she frowned. "And what might that be Toland?" "There aren't just three of us," he opened his palms and threw two scatter grenades into the crowd of thrall. "Dredgen, now!" Moluk's head whipped around as she witnessed three knights fall, jagged projectiles sticking out of their helms. Dredgen unsheathed his knife, turning to face the rest of the knights. "Fun." he grinned, as his body crackled with electricity. Rallied by Dredgen's assault, Kabr and Cayde followed suit. Kabr slammed into Nycor with his shield, knocking him off balance. Cayde stood off to the side, picking off any enemy with Hawkmoon and occasionally using his Golden Gun to deal with the rest. Moluk looked around, trying to find Toland, and was met with a Nova Bomb to the face, which she barely deflected. "You Wretch!" she hissed, hurling dark bolts of energy at Toland. "I can see why your teammates are so special," she gestured to Dredgen and Kabr, who were in the process of dismantling Moluk's entire army. "But you... you are the same as any other warlock I have bested, what makes you so special?" "Most guardians are unique, you'll never find any two guardians with the exact same combinations of abilities." Toland threw an Axiom Bolt, a Vortex Grenade, and a Scatter Grenade in rapid succession. "However, being the obsessive man I am. I couldn't get my head around the idea of only being able to do one thing, so I decided to learn them all, I have mastered the void." Toland changed tactics, throwing Nova Bomb after Nova Bomb, each one different then the last. "And now? I'm going to use everything in my power, every weapon in my arsenal, every fiber in my body, to destroy you." _______________________________________ To be continued...
