Open House: PvE and PvP Weapon Balancing

Will weapons in PvP and PvE ever be modified separately from one another? I know many players get upset once any given patch goes live because the weapons fixes apply to both parts of the game. Thanks.

  • This basically answers your question and that answer is a resounding 'NO!'.

    • I'd imagine the code for adding a constant buff to damage vs non-guardian enemies is probably a lot easier to implement then whatever it would take to back-door in a way to counteract a range nerf. (Keep in mind that the non-guardian damage buff is technically persistent across both PvP and PvE, you just don't notice it during PvP because there are no non-guardian enemies.

      • So again. Why not non gaurdian damage and range buffs. Lol is thw code shouldnt be this big of an issue for a big name dev company lile bungie...maybe im out of line with that expectation.
