Well there's a big chance because of your reasoning with the profile data. It would be too cruel of Bungie to let us see all of our stuff, but not to be able to use it in the final game.

Ive already become attached to my warlock, the hours weve spent slaughtering fallen, dancing after finishing the devils lair, and sitting on the tower to just take a break, i cant lose my awoken warlock, their is just to much we have been through together

But if they do then we have no choice but to suck it up an enjoy the game. It wouldn't take long to get to past lvl 8 anyways an see all the new cool stuff in full release that we couldn't use,do, see in the beta

Maybe, but who cares. People act like they tried so hard. You're going to have better gear by level 10, and it's only going to take a couple hours to get to max level again.

Bungie has stated that they have not decided and reserve the right to do which ever they prefer. It has nothing to do with if the can or can not, but more about what they decided to change from the beta. After looking at the E3 2014 trailer it looks like we did not even get the full story in the beginning. In the trailer when the astronauts find the Traveler it begins to rain...this did not happen in beta cut scene. This leads me to think they cut the story up a little to get players into the game.
