Bungie has stated that they have not decided and reserve the right to do which ever they prefer. It has nothing to do with if the can or can not, but more about what they decided to change from the beta. After looking at the E3 2014 trailer it looks like we did not even get the full story in the beginning. In the trailer when the astronauts find the Traveler it begins to rain...this did not happen in beta cut scene. This leads me to think they cut the story up a little to get players into the game. Either way I plan to play from beginning to be sure not to miss anything and to find out what they changed from the beta (for the beginning).

sorry bro but I'm about to burst your bubble right here .... what we played in the beta makes up of about 55% percent of the game when you buy it without DLC content.... if you include DLC content makes up to around 33% about a third of the game has already been played .... so we will be playing and re doing a lot of what we already done :(

Your right that we have played 1.2 maps out of the 5 maps. Also there was plenty of doors locked. We will do things over a number of times to find higher level gear.
