Just reserved the TTK CE

I couldn't be happier with my decision. I happen to have a job and am not intimidated by a 80$ price tag. A company with an original idea in gaming is one i support. Cookie Cutter games like CoD, AC, and "any other repeat" should be the games under fire, Blizzard sells one single mount for 20$. Bethesda thought it would be cool to take a vertical slice from FO4 and make it look nice at E3 only to say three days later (after the 120$ CEs were sold out) that they couldn't deliver. Why again is supporting this company a problem? I think the problem lies with the community.

    • First off, this game is far from original, it took a bunch of elements from halo, borderlands, fallout and other mmo aspects and mashed them together. Secondly, nothing wrong with supporting a company, but i have a job and bills and would rather get the full value of my dollar. I bought the expansion pass and i still feel like 20 dollars for each of those expansions were a rip off. Ive paid less for dlc in other games and gotten more, not to mention a lot of FREE dlc ive gotten in some games as well. Some game updates have more in it then both of those expansions combined. Do not get me wrong i like destiny, but fanboying does not help the situation and the truth is things have been overpriced for a while. I dont care if i was bill gates, those expansions were not worth 20 bucks and more that EU or other countries paid. Im going to wait until the middle or end of august, if i see enough content, ill get it, right now its mainly those third subclasses thats making me want it. The new weapons are awesome but meh gonna need to see more features than that.

        • I don't see why a lot of people are imposing their own opinions on you as if you're wrong for wanting to buy it. I'm probably gonna get the physical CE, and it bugs me that everyone who's pissed off at Bungie for one reason or another seems to prowl through the forums looking to harass anyone with an opinion or mindset different than theirs. I'm excited for TTK, honestly, I can't wait for the stuff they have and see what they do with the patches they've spoken about recently in their weekly update. Which, probably goes amiss by the angry people on the forums.

          • no, the problem is your head appears to be firmly lodged up your ass. Bungie want 42 pounds + for ttk. Have they fixed ANY of Destiny's problems? No. And yet fanboys like you positively encoueage them to gouge their fans.

Some games stick to the same formula, and are good games. Others try something new and also succeed. Then there are game that do the same types of things and fail miserably. Original =/= good. If Destiny were a better game a lot of people (myself included) would be lining up to throw money at it. The problem is that it fell sort of even the most basic expectations that most games are able to live up to.

              • I for one agree with you. Greedy idiots out there just want Destiny to be cheap so they don't have to pay the price.

                • Everybody knows of Destinys problems. The community pays the bills, while many like the game and think it value for their dollar, many dont think it is up to todays standards of excellence. Whether you like it or not, in the end, the fans will decide if it is good enough for a ten year run. If faced with the choice of buying it again, I would not bother. Destiny has alot of making up to do to make me try again.
