Its cause your 590. Not bungie's fault. Run last wish and get your light up.
It's a multiplayer game. I get it. Your solo. But bruh. You cant blame bungie if your choosing to ignore multiplayer content to get your light up.

The fact anyone is trying to defend that design decision is both sad and laughable.
-
It's a terrible business decision. Bungie has alienated more than half of their players. Bungie has never done this before. You never had to be at the highest light/power level to even begin new content.
-
If you're under the old cap, then the old content is current for you.
-
If you're under the old cap, then the old content is current for you.
Yes, but the forges weren't for 600s. It was for 630s. And you had to grind OLD content to start the new, even if you were at the old cap.
-
...? You're kidding, right?
-
This does not make sense? L/W Raid = end game activity which = highest powerful gear drop. The only thing laughable and sad is you mate.

I understand your point but is it a smart business move to release content that the majority of players couldn't do? If there was some sort of new content to grind to level up enough for Volandr that would be acceptable. They didn't even give enough warning. Weeks before the first installment of the annual pass went live players should have been told that they needed to be at 600 or they wouldn't be high enough to handle the first Forge. It feels like punishment. Punishing players who strayed to play RDR2 or Spider-Man. That's not good.
-
I cleared my 1st Forge the week it dropped. Getting to 615 is not hard at all! And anyone crying about that is the reason Year 1 D2 was trash.
-
I cleared my first Forge week one also. All three of my characters have successfully beat all three forges. Trash? Really? There are some professional players who weren't at 600 when Black Armory launched. They played other games. One of them in a video I watched said that to beat The Last Wish you didn't need to be higher than 580. Historically Bungie has never placed new content at higher power/light levels than the average player. Of course Raids, Heroic strikes and Nightfalls would have higher recommended power/light levels but we had new content to play as we leveled up to high enough for end game content. This is a bad business decision. So much of this first installment of the annual pass is obviously busy work in an attempt to hide how thin the content is.

Honestly with the buff to prime engrams and weekly milestones yiu can grt to at least 610-620 pretty fast which is sufficient enough to unlock the forges.
-
Not for players who were at around 580. They played Spider-Man or RDR2 for awhile and were faced with weeks of grinding to get above 600.
