Forge is terrible

1 ReplyGet rid of forges and give us something compelling. They’re boring. Bungie is back to being garbage just like pre-Forsaken. Warmind, Osiris, D2 Vanilla and Black Armory are all overpriced, cash grab, lazy development garbage.

9 RepliesEdited by blade329: 1/8/2019 5:00:41 PMI've beaten the Volundr forge 7 times. It's just not very fun to me. Even at 630+ Light, I find this mode very frustrating. None of my weapons feel strong, there's not enough heavy/special ammo dropping, and the enemies are just way over powered. Add to the fact that I don't like the feeling of being "flinched" throughout the entire ordeal. The Heavy Ammo finder is a total and worthless pile of trash. I see no evidence that it works at all. Well, at least the rewards are good. That's the only reason I even do it.

10 RepliesThe forges are only "terrible" for those not high enough in power to enjoy them. Here is what I like about the Forges: 1- they are quick! I dont have to spend 15 minutes rummaging thru a Prison of Elders, EP, or a Blind Well to get the end chest 2- I have had far better RNG at the forges...got 2 La Monarque bows from Volundr's Forge and nearly a complete Titan armor set there (people say that the armor doesnt drop...i say "ohhh-kaaaaay") 3- they are easy if the team stays somewhat together. It's when 2 players run around trying to orb hoard is when u have problems. (For those that dont know, the blue ads is what gives you time, the ball gives like 1 second...I was in a forge yesterday and we got up and over 2 minutes fairly easily) 4- its matchmaking!! For those that forgot about the 9-man EP teams, this style is FAR better!! 5- it can easily be 2-manned...my buddy and I carried a player thru yesterday. He was underpowered and couldnt stay alive. So rather than him stirring the aggro, we made him hide while we did it all. What I hate about the Forges: - I call it "The LFG Challenge" LFG's are the worst! They run around in panic mode the whole round stirring aggro and stealing orbs, killing red bars while avoiding blue ads, and completely using heavy and supers inefficiently. It's far worse than 2-manning it and if BUNGLE reads this (which they wont), there needs to be an emblem called "LFG Challenge Clears". Now some LFGs are ok... but if the other 2 players are less than 620 power, I leave and dont waste my time.

2 RepliesYour highest character is 590, forges are 610. See the issue? I've unlocked all forges solo, each when they were made available. Solos aren't boned, just lazy players.

1 ReplyAs a solo player, I will tell you your problem is that you clearly don't know how to level up. Do as many daily/weekly Milestones as possible every week, throughout the week. Crucible, Strike, Flashpoint, Heroic Adventure, Gambit, the Weekly Mission in the Dreaming City (pick it up from Petra), Clan XP (if you're in a clan), and Ikora Rey. Along with the Prime Engram drops, you'll level up quickly.

6 RepliesIt's just grind town, and if you're 590 you're at least 5 weeks out from being able to play. The content is arguably bad, just a horde mode and not much else, but regardless of how you like it, was poorly delivered

8 RepliesI tried Volundr for the 1st time yesterday at 614. Ran it twice with a couple randoms that were underleveled. I enjoyed the difficulty but only got to 10/20 on 2nd wave. They need to get rid of the timer. It would be far more enjoyable if it required player revives and if all 3 die then you start over.

Level up man or are you that stupid .... you have been around long enough to know how things work. Even myself with my crap in the last few months I’ve got to 632 power level so shouldn’t be that hard just doing things like flashpoint or heroic adventures will get you there

I try to play the game as much as possible but 98% of my time is spent on the road working as I'm a Boilermaker. I stated a simple opinion that pointed no blame and I was slandered in the comments. It truly is sad how disrespectful children can be.

I’m a solo player EXCLUSIVELY and I do it. I just take the time to make sure I’m leveled up to an adequate level-which yes means grinding the same content over and over but I love the forges. I love the weapons and the gameplay of them all.

I beat it the other day at 607. Its tough and the enemies hit like truck but possible. Level up a bit more and give it another go

I would suggest getting as close to 620 as you can. It will make the forges more doable. You can go in at 610, but it's going to be rough.
