So you're saying that a base super should do as much damage, at a faster rate, as a super that's being complimented with an exotic? Yup, seems balanced... But then I want my Hammers of Sol to kill Primeval Envoys in 2 hits as well.

  • Nah, he's saying that 6-shot GG base super should do as much damage output as Arcstaff/Raiden Flux. Why should I have to rely on an exotic as well? Why shouldn't my base ranged super do as much damage per hit as his base ranged super? Isn't that what balance is all about? Also, Synthoceps may increase the damage, but I don't believe the damage buff is that substantial. Hammers still suck at taking out the Envoys.

  • It's like a 100% boost in super damage. It's a lot

  • It's still having to use an exotic with stipulations to use it. Hammers is a ranged super. To get Biotic Enhancements to proc, you have to get up close to enemies to become 'surrounded.' When that close and personal, I may as well just switch to a close-quarters super like Burning Maul, Sentinel Shield, or FoH. But what if I want to kill the Envoys from a distance? Hammers do garbage damage to the Envoys, especially the top tree that burst into embers. The main damage of that super is in the embers, but when you throw the hammers at the Envoy, the initial hit is weak and the embers all fly away from the Envoy taking most of the damage with them.

  • Most supers aren't that great without their exotics in Pve. As you've seen.

  • Which I am just trying to bring that fact to OP's attention. From his post and his responses to other people, he wants 6-shot GG to do as much damage as Arcstaff with Raiden Flux. That would make 6-shot GG the most OP PvE super in the game. It would literally break any semblance of balance this game has. At one point in Year 1, someone tested all the supers on their damage output. Earthshaker FoH was top of the list as long as you double jumped before each slam to get the increased damage. Arcstaff was kinda middle of the pack, but with Raiden Flux, it became number 1 by almost double the damage of Earthshaker FoH. I know Raiden Flux got nerfed since then so it's not as good as it was when that test was done, but I feel like Arcstaff/Raiden Flux is still top tier for damage output for supers. OP wants base 6-shot GG to do that much damage by itself? No. That's not how the world works. Perhaps Bungie could make an exotic to increase GG's damage, but as far as I know, 6-shot GG is operating as Bungie intended.
