All the Etheric Light was locked behind activities that had no matchmaking so as far as I was concerned, Etheric Light never existed so I am not going to miss it.

Technically that's not true as Iron Banner is all match made and so is level 28 PoE. I of course realize that level 28 PoE doesn't reward you directly with EL, but it does give you judgement house reputation. At rank 3 you start getting EL in your weekly packages from Variks.

I don't do PVP so Iron Banner is out of the question and do you have any idea how little House of Judgement rep you get from doing the lv.28 POE, I learned very early on the in terms of raw mathematics POE wasn't worth my time.

So, if you don't do PvP and you don't do any PvE activities that require bringing a fire team of your own, what would you need Etheric Light to ascend? The level cap on the weekly/daily heroic is 32 and the same goes for the Nightfall, should you choose to solo it (which also has a chance to reward Etheric Light).
