Bethesda is the company to be like when it comes to DLC.

Gotta love that horse armor.

Definitely not the company to be for bugs though.
-
Still better than Destiny. Never once experienced a game breaking bug in a Bethesda game.

Or projekred

Did you actually look at what the Witcher 3 DLC entails? It's minimal. It's free though so I guess that's all that counts even though Bungie announced they would be bringing new bounties/weapons/armor/bounty slots to everyone and not just those who buy the DLC.
-
You know 4 of 16 DLC, there is 14 more.
-
Yes which if they are similar to the first 4 they will all be pretty minimal. It's cool they are doing stuff for free, but you shouldn't discount Bungie for giving away free stuff but also having paid DLC.

Bearbeitet von A Saturnalia: 11/10/2014 9:25:21 PMNow you are doing hypothetical/circle arguments. One could argue that the extra bounty slots and such will be added before the DLC and isn't included in the DLC and is instead a patch in the works. You don't know, I don't know. I do know that it isn't included in the "what's new" part of the DLC page. http://www.destinythegame.com/expansions/expansion-one It isn't included at all on that page. What we know will be included in this DLC is 1 strike (2 for playstation users), 1 raid, 3 PVP maps, 3 story missions, new weapons and armor, and a light level raise to 32.

So you're distinguishing a difference between free DLC and patches when they both are free and they both add content to the game. For one I never said the bounty slots and weapons were DLC I just said they were free stuff that Bungie is giving to everyone. I don't know when they are adding it but it will be around the time the DLC comes out as that is what Bungie stated. I'm not sure why you are bringing up what is in the paid DLC from Bungie that was not the point of my last post. I was commenting on ProjekRed giving away small free DLC. There was no circle argument, I was just stating an opinion that based on what was in the first 4 DLC the rest of the DLC will probably be similar. It's an opinion as no one knows yet what the other ones will be. Just basing it off of what ProjekRed has shown to date.
I just said they were free stuff that Bungie is giving to everyone.
Which is normal for any developer to patch, update, fix, and add small changes to for free (for up to 2 years). Yes, there is a difference between a patch and DLC, a patch requires you to download it in order to continue to play the game online. DLC is an optional choice and doesn't effect your game. People are upset by the amount they are paying for the DLC and what they are getting in place of it. This all is dependent on how you view the dollar bill. If I hold my dollar bill and look at it as food/rent/water/heat for the month and you look at it and rip it in half then both of us would have completely different views on the matter. A lot of people are upset due to the on disc nature and lack of content (to some) that is being shown. A lot of people are upset that the 2nd expansions DLC is in the game right now. A lot of people are upset that there is only 3 more PVP maps being utilized out of the so few that are there right now. You might not be upset, but a lot of people are and it is all relative to who you are and how you view your money.

A few map areas have been shown in the base game but there is a lot more that makes up the DLC besides the map. In an interview Bungie president stated that they listened to feedback from the community and changed how storytelling works in the DLC. How could they do that if it was already on the disc ready to go? Is there any proof that you can provide that shows that it is 100% on the disc? As for the worth it's $15-20 depending on how you purchase it. If it provides 2-3 hours worth of entertainment then it's worth the cost. It currently costs ~$15 to go to a movie for 90-120 mins of entertainment. To take my wife out to dinner it costs a minimum of about $30 for a couple hours of entertainment. If people are expecting to pay $15 and get 30 hours of entertainment out of something they are being a little unrealistic.

I just wanted to say it's nice to see some intelligent non emotional debate on the forum. Both arguments are clear and calm. Wish the rest of the forum was like this.
