Simple answer (not sarcastic or flame)
If you only play half the game why do you feel like you should have access to all the weapons?
Seriously just post a logical answer to that. If it makes sense I will say no more.

PvP isn't even remotely close to half the game. It's an activity, and a bad one at that. Weapons are not limited to specific modes of play.

So why shouldnt pvp have stuff that you can only get by playing it? It's not all about you. We want VARIETY.. 99% of players do.. most of the game isnt that varied until new content starts flowing in. Your opinion on what the crucible is.. is just that.. ur opinion. I play waaay more PvE than PvP.. but the pvp based challenges are a refreshing change to just shooting AI mobs. And decent pvp'ers have at least that little something extra to strive for. Your opinion about a game mode... ESPECIALLY one that you DONT play.. should not have influence on content.

Far as exclusivity is concerned, where are the things only obtainable from Patrol? There aren't any because, similar to PvP, Patrol is a minor activity that should be a diversion instead of a focus.

Yes functionality... but i just segwayed into my own point by saying pve has more stuff that is exclusive .. way more. Pvp needs its own rewards. And you are getting into a "superiority complex" by creating "facts" about the game based on your sole opinion. Comparing patrols to pvp is pathetically awful as they are: 2 ENTIRELY different things. One being that one is PvE .. the other is PvP. Patrols DO have a reward.. its where you complete bounties for thousands of exp to lvl up your guns, also where you gain REP in order to purchase PVE exclusive equipment. Not to mention public events which have rewardd MAILED to you. In ANY FPS multiplayer is a MAJOR part of the game. It is your opinion that it is minor... dont have a "superiority complex" and assume cause it only matters a little to you that its not a huge part of the game.
