You see the thing is that since Destiny is now Bungie+Activision, they don t care cause you are going to buy an Activision product.
Strategy:
1.Form a partnership with a competitor that could outplay you and get a better game than you(aka Bungie).
2.While working together manage to hype the hell out of the game but at the same time destroy everything good you see in it, so as just to release a crap game.
3.Make profit on the initial sales and then let the game die.= $$$$$$$$$$
4.Wait for disappointed and frustrated players to jump to THE REAL GAME YOU WANT THEM TO BUY (aka COD AW).
5.Make more profit from this second game = $$$$$$$$$
6.Try to scam blind Bungie fanboys that keep thinking they will get the game you promised them, by selling them cut content as DLC.
7.Make more profit from this fools ==$$$$$$$$$$$

Loop hole! That kind of strategy is a one time thing. And bungie hold way more of the contract other than Activision meaning either bungie can can keep the money and be done, or just use the money cancel contract (which is hard to do) or just keep getting profit by making a new game and getting more money than Activision is

I made these exact same points in another thread. Once you see the strategy, it's hard NOT to see it. It's sad, I never thought that a Bungie game would end up being a footnote casualty in Activision's bid for world domination. If they would have released the game they wanted, it probably could have been game of the year.

All this is fact. Never going to forgive or forget what bungie and actimoney did to what should have been the best game. Sad but they screwed us first with this 20% of a game shit. If any of you have brains at all you will never buy snother bungie/actimoney game period.

Long way for a short cut there. A lot of money was spent on destiny. Given the fanbase that will buy the new COD anyway it's a retarded marketing strategy.

Well, to be fair, the 500 million quote was for the 10 year franchise, but they made that all back day one. So no matter what happens from here on out, Activision will be in the black.

Yeah there isn't really a financial or marketing need to try and turn a fanbase to a different fanbase. People will buy the new COD. To think they purposely made one game crap to increase the sales of another is stupidity.
