(on vanguard Onslaught) some players (any rank) go in just completely unprepared, no champion mods, no exotic armor/weapon, suited for pvp.. low resil just dying all the time.. so I would say no it is not for a newbie who is unwilling to read, equip.. maybe look at one guide... I have learned to leave those matches.. matchmaking does need a basic prompt/filter/check.. to improve the experience for certain activities for all evels.. and like has been mentioned before a base teaching level or tutorial/check loadout match would be thoughtful.. I expect games in the future will use ai to offer suggestions at the very least
