In the Claws of Ahamkara lore tab, there are two paragraphs. The first seems to be targeted towards the guardians. [quote]It's suffocating here, this prison. Do us a favor, o bearer ours. Still your mind; invite us to enter the realm of your capricious thoughts. Your mind is vociferous, addled with worry and doubt. We can extinguish these trifles. Would you like that?[/quote] But then there’s the second. Here it is: [quote]Yes, we are here. We are not the photons on your screen, or the voice in your head, or the words you read. Shut your eyes-tightly—and you may see us. At least a part of us. Make us real, and in turn we shall reify your thoughts, your dreams.[/quote] Upon reading this, I immediately thought it could be a fourth wall break. I am reading these words, on a screen, with the voice in my head that is my thoughts. Are the Claws, the voices of the Ahamkara they were taken from, speaking directly to us, the players? Are they asking us to take part of them beyond the game and to give them the gift that is being real? Edit: Now that I think about it, the prison referred to in the first paragraph could be referring to the game. And now that I think about it more, both paragraphs could be talking to the player. Edit 2: It has been brought to my attention that this is probably beating a dead horse.
