Concerned about the bubble change.
So I'm not sure I fully understand or at least I'm hoping I am. The 300 hp armor of light is being changed to the 45 hp void overshield? Please tell me I'm miss-reading this as this basically means no matter the dr any enemy in pve can ONE HIT THE SHIELD OFF YOU I understand it needed to be nerfed in pvp but why this? Also making it so you need helm of s14 to get the damage buff is pretty harsh as well.

2 AntwortenBubble is defense and well is offense. Not hard to understand. Also void overshield gives you 45% damage resist.

Void overshields already have 50% DR in PvE - making them effectively 90 HP. Now they’re getting an additional 60% DR while inside the bubble. That stacks multiplicatively to roughly a 225 HP shield. 90HP / 0.4 (% damage taken after DR) = 225. That is effectively only a 75 HP loss on the overshield between the 2. And since it’s just been moved to generalized overshields, it means you can: - Place a Bastion barricade inside to continuously regen your effective- armor of light style overshield. - Instantly gain effects triggered from having a void overshield like Offensive Bulwark. Bubble is also getting the ability to passively regen overshield for people outside of it. While likely not as strong as current well healing, this will likely be pretty solid. They’re moving the “carry overshield outside bubble” from Helm to the base functionality of Bubble and moving the damage bonus to the exotic.

1 AntwortenI don't think people read or understand what the change actually is. The overshield you are getting is less hp but you have a lot of damage reduction.

A full void overshield plus 60% DR from Armor of Light, presumably that will stack multiplicatively with other DR (like Resists, and Resilience). If you are 100 Resilience (30% DR) and are standing in a Bubble (60% DR) then you'll have ~72% total DR, with a void Overshield on top of it. The math should look something like... (1 - 0.6) * (1 - 0.3) = 0.28 1 - 0.28 = 0.72 or 72% DR

2 AntwortenThe issue was how controlling it was in PVP, as well as Ward being more defense oriented and not offense. Besides, Helm of Saint-14 needed a buff. This works... For now... We'll just have to wait and see.

When is the last time you saw someone using it other than a new light? Its a shame too, the helm looks awesome. So now it can provide an awesome benefit to match.

[quote]Armor of Light now instead grants additional damage resistance to players inside the Ward of Dawn:30% vs. enemy players and 60% vs. enemy combatants. Effective health of players inside the Ward of Dawn dome remains roughly the same as it was before vs. PvE combatants.[/quote] Bubble received a net buff for PvE. You’ll now be protected when leaving the bubble and will now be able to generate additional orbs.

You're still wasted if you walk into an enemy bubble (which people still do for some reason) and a counter super already wipes it and everybody in there out. Nothing changed. A bubble on B with no counter super to worry about will still be locked down.
