Genuinely what was the point, if it mattered *that* much why is the game not capable of allowing 2 be the weekly in that case. My friend wanted to get navigator this week. Such a weird decision especially for weapons which are 90% trash at this point (hence the weapon refresh)

Because it's the best Dungeon in the game , by a 100 trillion miles

Honestly, all dungeons should be farmable all the time. Same with raids. The rotator system is obnoxious, especially as we've gained more dungeons and raids since it was introduced, meaning you need to wait MONTHS for the correct raid or dungeon to be in rotation for what you're looking for.

How Prophecy
-
The trash rotator is simply just there to keep players coming back and keep them engaged. Waste players time is the main focus of this garbage company. They never wanted us to play when we want to and what we want to. This dictatorship has driven me away from the game. People all have different schedules and time off for gaming. Why tf do they think we should adapt our valuable time to this game and play certain stuff when they decide we should be able to. Horrible, horrible systems in this game. The drip fed seasonal content is the other part of this garbage mentality. I want to play the stuff right away. I am a binge watcher of tv shows aswell. When theres a tv show, i always wait until all the episodes are out rather than watching one every sunday for example. Who enjoys that? I want the whole story, not some 15 minute bit every week. Trash burnout feeding systems that made me play other games instead.

The real question is, why’re they bothering to take weapons out? Just add the other ones in. The dungeon will likely be sunset before it can get another reset anyways.
-
Can’t farm for Navigator anyways so this won’t affect going for that at least.
-
I think they swapped to prophecy dungeon cause next reset on 5th march will get a new loot pool. With 3 reprised weapons from back to trials of the 9 and 3 weapons with rearranged perks and a new origin trait. So they made prophecy dungeon with the actual loot pool the weekly dungeon so that players who want the weapons that will go out the new loot pool could catch up
-
I’m glad for any update to something that has become dated, but it is an odd choice. People have been asking for a Garden update for a while now. Seems the logical choice to appease people considering the sentiment of the game right now. Not sure what they’re thinking.

Bearbeitet von Rho Herculis: 2/28/2024 2:08:18 PMI don’t get it. Why would you need to do this? You can farm legendary weapons on any dungeon. The only thing you can’t farm are secret chests and exotics, and Prophecy doesn’t have an exotic.
-
Why Prophecy? Because 3 weapons are going to be permanently removed from the loot pool, and Bungie is giving players a last chance to obtain those. Maybe if you guys moaned less and stopped pretending you care about Ghosts , Bungie wouldn't feel bad about every single decision they made. Ghosts has been the weekly dungeon for many times, and Prophecy hasn't been the weekly since they announced the rework of the dungeon ('s loot) This is a final chance for people to get the sidearm for pvp or the Last Breath AR. Or the Solar sniper which sounds and feels great and highlights enemies. In the end, your whining doesn't outweigh the need and the logical decision that is to make the weekly Prophecy one last time to obtain weapons that'll never be obtainable again. But hey, keep at it. You'll find a way to complain about anything anyway. That's the D2 community.

Keeping both active would make for a happy player base and that's a BIG NO-NO for Bungle. Cannot have satisfied players.
-
change was unnecessary, and i would rather the dungeon be farmable week one of it's loot refresh.
-
I was super excited to grind for my CC rocket this week, but instead I get a dungeon with weapons that aren't very good atm
-
Yeah bro I agree, there's not too many "god" rolls for the current loot the prophecy drops, so there's a reason they were giving an orgin trait/fixing perks/changing a couple archetypes March 5th, but the people that played trials of the 9 etc...can still get the smg/other weapons that people like me and you(I didn't start playing alone until Beyond Light) don't or won't get. I've never heard of too many good rolls, maybe a darkest before pvp God roll but that's about it. Or maybe the sniper I think can roll with explosive payload?
-
Me and a couple of buddies were prepping to run GotD to grind for the Navigator, when we found out that the weekly had changed or something. We were not exactly happy about it. I'd say Prophecy would make more sense for next week, but then people would grind for the new stuff and get everything in a week. Still kind of wish they went with that, though.

I am not going to pretend to know how long it takes to reprogram the engine to drop new weapons and remove the old, but someone at Bungie had to know about this in advance. Keeping that card close to their chest absolutely was dropping the ball. Bungie has been doing better at being more transparent, but they keep slipping back into being secretive. Yes, surprises are great but if you wait to time the surprise until right after that activity left rotation then you are just going to upset the players, even more so when you do a surprise change to the rotation, with zero communication.
