It's been a while
It's been a while since I've gotten onto this game that has helped shape me into the person I am, and it was the connection I and my father shared as I grew up through D1 and D2. Now. About 3 years ago he passed away, and the game lost its appeal - no longer did I have a connection to the game that provided our guardians with all the best gear with all the best rolls, or a person to talk to about the last raid I went on and how I was trying to become a raid leader like him. It's drifted away into an outer ring of my thoughts, and I've always tried to keep tabs on it and what was happening, but from afar. I recently saw the new trailer for The Final Shape though. I knew I had to return for this last DLC in the Destiny franchise to honor my Dad and his unending love for this game, and its story.
Now - I didn't just make this post to just announce this. I have no idea what I'm getting back into in the destiny world really and was hoping to find a little bit of advice on how to get back into this game. The last time I played was right after The Witch Queen - all my guardians are light level 1600 for reference, and I have a vault filled to the brim with, what I'm sure is now underpowered in today's game, god roll weapons, and upgraded armor.

If you want the Strand subclass you will need Lightfall DLC, it does bring with it the Root of Nightmares raid which is relatively easy. Other things from the past year which may increase your power, Crota's End returns, you have the Ghosts of the Deep and Warlord's Ruin dungeons for some pinnacle loot if its the proper week. This season is Season of the Wish, you still have about 100 days to the season and season pass. If you do start the season story things to grind would definitely be The Coil for LL, materials, season weapons, etc. (Easy loot). New things to consider: Fireteam Finder, its a new tool you can use to easily create or join in game LFG's for anything be it story, raids, dungeons, anything. New changes to PVP are being implemented and more to come in early March for possibly better QoL for PVP. Check the season relic for good builds.

1 AntwortenWhile Bungie has made some... Interesting decisions recently, destiny is still an okay game. I suggest buying the standard edition of Light fall, as you will gain access to strand and the new season, arguable the best we've had in a while. Some crazy stuff happened in the story, but you will enjoy your return

Only on this board would a post like this be down voted. One of the best add on features is the in-game Fireteam Finder, now in its Beta. I've had fantastic success with it both giving and getting help. You can find people run with for seasonals and campaigns.....etc......which is where you start. I just ran through a bunch of content with my daughter getting her caught up. We're 1.5 hrs apart, not bad at all, but logging on to play & spend some time is fun and a good way to bridge. I get it. No, this isn't the entirety of our lives for anyone reading and considering making unwanted input. We hunt & fish together, etc. We're friends. Enjoy your return.
