You see, there’s one small issue with that interpretation. The hunger of a worm scales over time as it’s fed, so 3 looped weeks of a small scale invasion isn’t really going to do much for a Hive God. Even repeatedly tithed over such a time frame and with such little tribute it’s not exactly useful. Look at how quickly Savathûn’s Worm adapted to the Imbaru generated from her Osiris disguise. She was falling apart and the Worm was beginning to starve after only 6 months in the City. It’s far more useful as a method to keep Awoken forces and resources occupied in a neverending war of attrition while occasionally picking off a Guardian that might get too comfortable and die a final death.
