Yes. The devs have started making decisions that hurt the player and don’t reward you for your time while at the same time not making any improvements in other areas to compensate. I’m just tired. I was actually telling a friend the other day that I kind of hope that Final Shape is the end of Destiny so I don’t have to make the decision myself to stop playing. After seeing the Xbox showcase and playing Diablo 4, I realize that Destiny has stagnated and become very tedious and unrewarding to me. You can check my account to see my achievements. I want something else. Destiny just isn’t doing it for me anymore. And it’s sad. But I guess it was probably going to happen eventually. Here are the biggest pain points causing me to want to stop: 1. The community outside of my clan is quite possibly the most toxic fan base I’ve ever seen. Whether it be towards each other or devs, I’m just so tired of seeing all the whining, hating, arguing, etc 2. The game has stopped being rewarding for me. There is really only a handful of loot I want from each season / raid / dungeon. But the amount of time I have to invest to get what I want is absolutely absurd. Getting the patterns to craft a single weapon takes weeks. Some weapons don’t have patterns but come from activities that have such large loot pools that getting the item you want in the first place is unlikely, then getting the roll you want is borderline impossible. Like I don’t have a single roll I want on a dungeon weapon yet. And I’m not about to sit at Ecthar and farm for them… because the wave frame isn’t in his loot pool :) I don’t even want -blam!-. I just want one trait combo and I don’t even have that. And then they’re also about to fix the LW Hawthorne Deepsight “bug” when they really should just leave it. LW is the longest raid with the largest weapon pool. You have to do the WHOLE thing, not just a boss cp to buy it from the chest. Literally encouraging people to farm Kalli once a month instead of actually do the raid. 3. The game has stopped feeling good to play. We’re borderline invincible. Bosses have absurd amounts of health. Raids aren’t challenging but solo flawless dungeons take 60-90 mins. There’s only a handful of guns you’ll use and most of the new stuff is garbage. Grinding XP for power levels is the same as it’s always been, just now we don’t have to grind pinnacle too. I have to keep doing the same stuff every single season for Paragon and tbh I don’t need that to know my skill level. That whole system was a miss and it’s just another thing to grind monotonously. Idk. Destiny has lost its shine to me. I need to take a break at least. Once I craft the LW weapons I want I’m going to pause playing until the next season and raid race. If it’s a D2 raid coming back, I’m probably not even going to do that though. Bungie, I have no idea what needs to happen, but I miss enjoying this game.
