i’m curious to see what your ideas for an exotic would be because i feel like unless it give the rocket tracking or cluster no one would ever use it

  • I wanted to keep it out of the main post because I know it's common for developers to get a tad erked when people try to give them ideas. In a similar way of giving acting advice to actors or plumbing to plumbers, etc. My initial thoughts come from taking inspiration from The Taikonaut. The Taikonaut gives an rockets an extra effect and a helpful passive. If we wanted to stick with that theme of simple but helpful bonuses id say something that incentivesed proactive use because most people use rockets for bosses/mini bosses/champs so heavy could be waiting on the ground without ever being used. My first thought is chain reaction and field prep or feeding frenzy. They could also make rocket kills spawn an orb of power that is bulkier the higher the tier of combatant killed. If they wanted to learn harder into the "this weapon's ammo is meant to be saved for big bad/scary targets" then we could lean into it with something that in my opinion may be a a bit strong but is fairly unique. Disclaimer: I have never written an exotic affect before so this could probably be worded better. This description also takes some inspiration from "Cenotaph Mask". Combatants you damage with a rocket become marked. Marked targets take increased damage from allied rocket launchers (yours included. I'm thinking 15%. Vorpal is 10% for heavy weapons but I'm thinking this would override and not stack with vorpal but would stack with other debuffs because it's weapon type specific). Allies near you when you fire a rocket (yourself included) receive increased rocket launcher reload speed. You receive a small bonus to airborne effectiveness with rocket launchers (15 ae is in line with other ae bonuses). Description without parentheses: Combatants you damage with a rocket become marked. Marked targets take increased damage from allied rocket launchers. Allies near you when you fire a rocket receive increased rocket launcher reload speed. You receive a small bonus to airborne effectiveness with rocket launchers. I could come up with more of course but these are a couple different ways to go right off the top of my head. Personally I would like to be incentivesed to be more proactive with my rocket ammo rather than wait for a tank or boss.
