Cheese posts have me thinking about cheese.
All cheese is great, all cheese is good.
But what is the greatest cheese of them all? As a rule I don't consider American cheese.
Also American cheese- melted its fine- not melted- get that repulsive gelatinous single out of my face.

Aside from Brie, I've never had a cheese I haven't liked, so narrowing it down to one is a hard call. I do agree with you about American, though. I like and eat it, but anything referred to as 'Pasteurized Food-Cheese Product' just shouts cheese-flavored plastic. Same with Velveeta and Cheez Whiz; good stuff, but hardly an actual 'cheese.'
