Bungie sucks at story telling , I am no writer, I have some ideas but have no interest in making it my life
But, Imagine if the guardian did something wreckless to get Amanda killed, and Zavala told you to get out of his sight(in a less nice way)
The blackfleet arriving was supposed to be the 2nd collapse, an apocalyptic event, the reason that Humans,Eliksni and Cabal banded together to figh, because we all 3 feared it
Instead they destroy a few fighters, and the pyramids and Traveler have a light scuffle, then nothing, wow , that was uneventful, alot of NPCs should have died, what if Saint died while Osiris was chasing Calus, what if Ana and Ikora died , what if Eris and Drifter died in each other's arms , what if Missrax lost Eido and most of his house while he was helping us
This could gave been Bungies Revenge Of The Sith,Empire Strikes Back and even Infinity War, but it turned out to be Bungies I don't know, name any one of the recent big budget flops

Think Saint is the only character that we know for sure will never die
-
Why is that?
-
He speaks at our funeral, so Bungie would have to retcon that if Saint dies
-
...but we haven't died?

I forget that this information came out ages ago and is not in game anymore Back in Shadowkeep’s Season of Dawn, Osiris built a fully functional time machine called the Sundial that was used to find and save Saint-14 from his death. Whilst exploring the Corridors of Time, the player could come across their own grave where Saint-14 is heard giving a eulogy of our Guardian, pretty much irrefutable evidence that we’d die at some point, presumably in Final Shape. Now that I mention this, I’d imagine that the Sundial could again be used to save us but considering we do not know how the story ends that may be impossible.

The problem with time travel is that it is paradoxical. Does knowing that Saint lives and we die change our fate?

Bearbeitet von FatDaddy001: 3/28/2023 11:53:24 AMThat’s what I said I was unsure about. In the case of Saint there was no paradox because he was saved at the moment of his death in the distant past but he stated in the Infinite Forest for decades until he caught up with the Present Day when we went in to save him. Therefore there is no paradox as he hasn’t altered anything in our timeline, instead of being dead he was just missing really. The conditions for our death would have to be similar, that’s if we even die now. It’s hurts to think about it but there’s a paradox for us in there somewhere probably.

If Osiris has a time machine, why didn't we know about the Witness and use it to stop him?
-
Paradox I guess I don’t know

Lol 😆 Fair enough. Time machines ruin everything
