How has this been out nearly a month and Tormentors still need a massive nerf and the Calus boss fight is still unbeatable? I can't do half of the seasonal content because you need to progress the campaign. 4 weeks have gone by, still can't beat him. So I'm missing out on the season that I paid for because you forgot that you're Bungie and not Fromsoft.
Sorry to vent so much but it was either that or smash my skull through my TV. Seriously, fix this -blam!- show. And give us a free season since we literally can't play this one. So glad I didn't spring for the annual pass because I definitely am not paying for more of this garbage.

Which bit of the Calus fight are you finding difficult? I found it tough at first, but once I figured out a decent strategy, it ended up being pretty easy. -
Double primary loadout with vesper of radius. While some things could be tuned in the campaign, have you ever considered it may be a skill issue? Also tormentors definitely do not need a nerf. Unless it’s a boss tormentor, a tormentor can be stopped by sooo many things. I would suggest suspend as the best option but since you’re not done with the campaign, use stasis

If the rumors about the fact that this is a filler Expansion with elements took from TWQ and TFS are true, is possible that it was kinda rushed and not properly tested at all.

Have you read what they said about developing Destiny with a Seasonal model? They don't have time to fine tune things. They got to hurry to make sure it's ready to go out the door when it's time. And they certainly couldn't ask for extensions, because that would delay everything else.

It takes TWO warlock strand supers to get Calus to final stand and then just a few grapple melees (which are infinite) to finish him off. You all wonder why Bungie isn’t active on this forums and then say nonsense like the classic campaign in too difficult.

Calus is easy and took me about 4 deaths and that was because I wasnt using strand, soon as I grabbed strand it took 1 go. Tormentors? Didn't die to a single one throughout the whole campaign. Stop blaming Bungie for your skill issue

Pretty simple, have a BETA, then an OPEN BETA, you solve several problems at the same time, the BETA with current players exposes issues with the expansion that can then be fixed, an OPEN BETA brings NEW players to the game ....a game ready to play and a player base HAPPY and satisfied with the software.

In addition to checking your build as others have suggest, something else. Change your strategy. Be sure not to my Calus down to half health so both Tormentors spawn in. Take him down to a fourth, eliminate a tormentor, take him down to half, eliminate the other. Then focus on calus. You can use the areas off to the side for cover form calus while you focus on the tormentors.

Bungie does not play test anything in any manner that a professional developer should deem adequate. True play testing to ensure systems (like Guardian ranks) are balanced properly, difficulty is tuned correctly (like Avalon), and things are working properly (like Quicksilver and Winterbite) does not happen. Bungie can’t even be asked to play their own game to make sure it works right and feels good. To the point-why do you think no one stopped them from making Mars Heist Battleground a Nightfall? Because they don’t play and didn’t know any better. You think a single dev at Bungie has touched that at Grandmaster level to make sure it’s not a complete mess? They just do, they don’t think first. And it seems like anyone who asks questions or points out problems with decisions just gets fired.

We've been through this already in the game. They did this to us in D2! I feel as slow and powerless as I did back in vanilla D2. They nerfed the heck out of guardians back then and it took a year for bungo to come to reality. Things will go back to normal (difficulty wise) but it probably won't be until next season or the one after.

Get your light level higher to 1800+ and check your armour mods and resilience. Grind those pinnacles, great opportunity in Iron Banner for them this week.

I've also heard people using double special weapons, haven't tried it myself tho. and energy primaries that synergize with your subclass make a big difference, and smgs are really good right now. - make sure your fragments, aspects and mods all work well together. hope this helps

Honestly, the only changes we really need is to add Seeking Wells(Orbs) back into the game, revert powerful friends, radiant light and the resil nerfs. Everything else is fine. Tormentors add some pacing that is much needed and with the resil nerfs undone, they wouldn't 1 shot you with 90% of their kit. Also, many Hunter builds require you to have a +20 mobility bump due to how important the other two unspeccable stats are. Of course both radiant light and powerful friends would need to go back to being 4 and 3 energy.
