Greetings! Bungie doesn't have an email for direct support. These forums (specifically the help forum) are the place to get support for Destiny 1/2, the Bungie.net website, etc.

  • GreatCyberwolf correctly answered your question in this thread: https://www.bungie.net/en/Forums/Post/262167284?sort=0&page=0 Since those shaders are not unlocked in your collection, it means that they were never in your inventory after collections was introduced. As such there is nothing that can be done except to wait and see if Bungie will reissue those shaders at a later date.

  • Before Collections were around, shaders had to have been in your inventory, not on gear, between the Warmind era and Forsaken launch for those shaders to be in your Collections. Unfortunately, those shaders are gone unless they can be obtained in-game somehow.

  • They could easily activate them again. Im not asking bungie to mine lithium in the mines. I just want them to reactivate the one shader back into my account. Im not seeking the impossible. I dont even care about all the other faction ones i had which are now gone. I just want my raid shader one back

  • You'll need to go to the Destiny 2 - Feedback forum to submit your request for a change of the system. At this time, as you've been told, Bungie will not grant you the Shader outright at your request. It had to be in your inventory, not on a piece of equipment or a vehicle, during the time Collections were initiated or active for it to have been added to your Collections. Because you did not have it in your inventory at that time, it was not added to your Collections, and Bungie will not forcefully add it to your Collections at this time simply because you had it or have it on a piece of equipment

  • Doesn't change the fact that contacting bungie customer support directly is extremely frustrating and from what i see is literally impossible. I appreciate random people chime in. But this is that something i wanted to be answered handled by bungie customer support employees.

  • Mentors are Bungie chosen volunteers who assist with answering questions on the forums. For queries such as yours there is an established answer that we can provide. This is the same information that a Bungie employee would provide

    Correct. We are volunteers chosen buy Bungie. Paid or not the answers are the same. The collections policy has been in place for several years and Bungie made the requirements and has chosen to not allow exceptions to the policy. While I can understand the frustration, if the information being provided was not accurate an official Bungie help account wound correct the reply. The policy was announced prior to the collection system being put in place. Shaders had to be in your inventory. Being on gear did not count.

    No, it isn't. There are more fans than there are people working for the company and some fans enjoy helping others. If the fans are happy to spend their free time helping people and they are knowledgeable about various topics, then why not use them? Makes perfect sense to me. If you had to rely on Bungie staff to help then you would be waiting days, weeks, or even months due to how busy they are. You don't need someone from the company to help you with small things like yours.

  • It is lazy and greedy on bungies side to have volunteers answer for customer issues. In destiny 1, I accidentally erased a dead orbit shader before it had a shader collections vault type system. soon as they implemented that shader collection vault, i was able to recover the dead orbit shader i accidentally erased. There is zero excuse why this cannot be done in destiny 2. The game logs everything a user has done and collected. They can simply return the shaders to everyone who has lost them like they did in destiny one if they wanted to. If i had to guess some higher up made this decision assuming players (customers) will buy silver to buy shaders or something. Once again, disappointing. Nothing a volunteer will say can change my mind on this.

  • Still kicking off even through I told you the answer to your problem. Still kicking off even though the kind mentors told you the same. Making a fuss won't change Bungie's policy in theses matters. Oh and to cover the helpline thing... 1. Bungie has ONE office so for most players contacting Bungie would be a long distance phone call. 2. Time differences. For me it is no problem (I work night shifts) but for most standard office hours for Bungie is more than a inconvenience to contact them. 3. How much extra for the game and dlc are you willing to pay to cover the cost of a Bungie helpline... those staff need to be paid more so of they are doing the night shift and they need office space and equipment. 4. OK. The first call or email could be in English but the next could be in German, Japanese, Spanish, French, Russian, Arabic or one of dozens of other languages... how would Bungie cope in thst one office. 5. You need to read the forums more. Those with true problems would be in the minority in trying to contact Bungie. There would be dozens of "Bungie I have a idea" or "Bungie this is OP I demand you to nerf it" posts to every single "Help" post. 6. Bungie already has loads of help guides and links to relevant information... so why don't people just do a basic search for them. It saves yours, mine and everyone else's time and if Bungie did have a helpline guess what.. they would send you the relevant help guide. So a site full of Help guides and attach some forums with relevant pages including a #Help page is the best option. The add a few people who volunteer there time and give them some power in those forums. Situation 99% of true problems get solved IF the poster listens to the advise or reads the help guides. But your problem is that YOU don't want to listen to what you have been told. You think that by making a fuss will get what you want. Breaking news.. Bungie has a zero tolerance policy in these matters. It has been tried thousands of times before to get items that such and such player did not earn but expected Bungie to give it to them when asked. So no you can not get Bungie to give you those shaders.

  • Pay has nothing to do with who Bungie picks to give their answers. Bungie gave them that title because they represent Bungie in the forums. That's all your going to get
