Eyes of Tomorrow is much harder to actually get your hands on, lol. And EoT and Truth were back before heavy was available to everyone. The RNG nature of heavy ammo [i]slightly[/i] kept things in check. And although Erianna's was indeed busted, it wasn't the only exotic causing issues because of the PvE damage glitching. Hard to really say if Gambit was ever "good" except the short period it was out before metas and boss melts became established, but after that it was always a hot mess.
