I get what your doing or wanting to do. Improve people's thumskill and aim time reaction and tracking.
However, for a lot of mid tier or lower players the builds you present are going to be very frustrating and will get people killed against players that are using the build that's your saying to stay away from.
I understand that these things helped you but some things simply don't apply to lower skill tiers.
I think your better off talking about map awareness, using cover, peak shooting and things like that first. These things encourage and improve survivability. Not dying a lot is far more important to those brackets than the kills that will eventually come.
I know for me my issue is not aim and tracking. It's staying alive. I know my weaknesses are being to out in the open and pushing at the wrong times. Managing the radar and 2v1 engagements.
What would be your suggestions for these things?

That’s a lot different to teach. Visuals go along way and there are a couple of good videos out there teaching the thought process with the whys. But basically… don’t be afraid to run. If you know you’re gonna die, survive as long as possible while doing as much damage or getting them in bad positions for your incoming teammates. Don’t walk around corners… it’s a death sentence in better lobbies. Slide, jump, do something other than bot walk a corner. 2v1s are kinda complicated. Most common scenario IMO is you being mid duel and noticing a flank incoming in the radar. Honestly more times than not that flank is hauling -blam!-. So fight the flank first. Basically the point is to fight the one you can kill the fastest or the one that you can fight the safest.

The same thing that I said, if you keep at it and try to avoid tilting you’ll learn how to move around and stay alive. Dying to those load outs is very annoying, but working around them without using them makes you much better.

I'm definitely more of a gun user than an ability user. Seemed ok on D1 but D2 seems to be more ability heavy. I'm curio to see how my game changes when the anniversary changes come out.
-
I’m looking forward to it, they just need to nerf slugs and fusions and then we will have a good primary meta, on balanced special weapons.
-
Fusions do not need anything else. I'm an avid fusion user from D1. I acknowledge where the High Impact ones were for a while but those days are gone. Rapid fires are the goto but most have range issues (1 or 2 rolls can get away with stuff) However they pose a serious counter to shotguns which is still good. Sligs just need an AA and hitbox nerf. The ranges are technically OK for what they do. They just need less "do it for you' things.
-
I disagree, fusions play like heavy weapons IMO. I think that 16m should be their max range. And slugs need either a range or AA nerf, it depends on what bungie wants with them.

Again, this may be a high level player disconnect from what the majority of players (mid to low) have to deal with. Most people in those lobbies are NOT good with fusions but those that are stand out. Your suggestions are good and come from a good place, but I see the same disconnect with the casual lobbies that I always see with high level players. You're only thinking of your lobbies. Maybe your don't mean it considering your improvement history but to me there's a clear disconnect currently. Please don't take that the wrong way.
-
Could be, but I don’t think I’ve seen too many bad fusion users outside of very young gamers who have trouble managing a charge time.
-
I think it's more of the people using them are already good and recognize their value. They have a higher skill ceiling than a shotgun or even a sniper. Charge time, pellet spread, harsh drop off, terrible in-air accuracy. People will always move to 2 types of weapons: - Easy to use - Highest TTK potential. How avid of a Fusion user are you? If you're not using them, for the reason you are sitting here telling us, then how good of a resource are you to critique them? I don't want people to think this is a "I'm getting killed by it so nerf it" scenario. Because then you sound like a casual that high level players bash on constantly. ;-) Can you elaborate on that at all?

Bearbeitet von Meaga: 12/1/2021 6:26:02 PMI use any weapon or class before making an opinion on it. While I don’t use them much, every time I pick them up I roll through lobbies. I don’t use them because I try to adhere to “scrim rules” with my play style so I don’t get used to different guns. This is the only reason I don’t toss on SMGS every day lol. I also really like shotguns, they’re fun and fast paced. I disagree with the skill ceiling, snipers definitely have the highest and shotguns take a lot of movement. FRs are just timed voop cannons.

Good to hear. However, you're already a high level player who understands how the weapons work and how to control them. So in my lobbies there are 2 fusion users by-and-large. - Actual mid-tier players like me who have gotten good with them with the sole purpose to shut down shotgun users and higher level players. - High level players who are simply good with them by way of their innate skill. For the most part Fusions are NOT an issue in most lobbies. Especially after the High Impact nerf.
