Vault of Glass is the easiest raid. However:
Do Last Wish first. It's 100% what every raid in destiny should be. GoS has the challenge, DSC has the story and scenery, VoG has the mystery and suspense . . . but Last Wish has all of that in droves.
The stop to this is that you must do Riven Legit to experience Last Wish, if you cheese Riven it will be a hollow experience and the raid won't be as special as it could be. Granted there is a death glitch going on during Riven right now, so maybe start with VoG anyways.

Last wish is my favourite raid across the franchise, which I feel is an unpopular opinion, also can I say the last phase on vault has amazing music that really feels like the ante is upped

Yeah. Because legit riven is currently glitched and nearly unplayable. It was a stream of consciousness, not a meticulously crafted review of each raid and which is optimal to start with.
