However, since you’ve decided to make some assumptions about me, I’ll make some about you. Does it make you feel better to accomplish something that others ran out of time to do? Does that somehow make you feel like a better player? Would you rather feel superior to others, or find a way for everyone to have fun? By the way, check your season pass, bud. 47 days is about half of “almost 3 months.” It’s okay, I know math is hard. But there’s a lot more that goes into this than just “grinding fast enough.” Do you also think it’s easy to just “go get a job,” too? Besides the fact that I have plenty of “endgame content” to tackle in several other games at the same time, the issue is that solo players of varying abilities struggle to regularly pursue half of the sources of pinnacle rewards for various reasons. Solo does not equal casual. Regardless, the simple fact is that everyone should have access to the content they pay for. This applies to all consumers at all levels of play. If Bungie is going to brag about equality being so important to them, then they need to accommodate everyone who chooses to play their game. That means parents who work multiple jobs just to survive. That means people with disorders and disabilities. That means college students with a full course load. That means casual AND hardcore players. And honestly, repeat protection is the bare minimum step toward that. At the end of the day, this is supposed to be a fun little electronic computer game for children. It’s not serious, and being gatekept from content they paid for because someone got 17 Warlock Bonds in a row is not fun. Toxic edgelords making assumptions, judging people, and telling them they’re not good enough to play the game they like isn’t fun either, is it? We could all work together to improve Destiny for everyone.
