So I know this is a long dead horse, and I don't know why I bother honestly. But I still miss Sunsinger. The reason it was removed was because "holding on to your ult is boring" but... that's what I do anyway with well of radiance. I understand self rez was broken, but that was only 1 of 3 options for the tree. Either of the other 2 would be great additions to the game. Either actively buffing your friendlies ability cool downs, or giving you even more armor and cool down so you can really pop off with grenades, melees, and even dropping rifts for support. The problem is Well is so passive. You drop it, and that's it. You used your super, but with Radiance you were actively engaging with your ultimate while also buffing your allies in the sense that you were utilizing that ability cool down to set up literal fields of fire. I just miss the power fantasy, and honestly Sunsinger was the last time I felt that in destiny, and it feels like to me their original reason for removing it has aged like milk. Dawnblade to me has never felt like as interesting a class as Sunsinger for a myriad of reasons, but mainly, Sunsinger enabled me to actually be a space wizard much like stormtrance and nova bomb do. Dawnblade just... feels like a worse version of ults the other two classes already have. There's almost no identity on the warlock solar class, and at the risk of sounding redundant what identity it does have has the exact same problem Sunsinger had (i guess, I rarely used self rez i was very active with my usage of that ult). So yeah that's my long winded diatribe on why Warlock needs Sunsinger. It was integral to the class's identity, and it has never felt the same since. Side note: bring back HotPF while you're at. Best warlock exotic ever don't @ me.
