It's not new.
It's been nearly two months.
But go ahead.
If top players still say it's too powerful, then anything you have to say DEFINITELY won't mean anything. Otherwise you would be performing better...

Two months is still new compared to the other subclasses which have existed for YEARS. And the funny thing is, I HAVE gotten better since stasis came out. Last season, I had a KD of 0.6 After BL released, I switched to behemoth and, after learning to use it, my KD jumped up to 0.75, but... funny thing, the longer I used it the worse I got. By the time I stopped using it, my KD was down to 0.6 I switched back to Sentinel, focused on learning to fight Stasis, and now my KD is 1.15 or 1.5, depending on who you ask (one guy told me it was 1.15 and another random told me it was 1.5, both as examples of why I'm an idiot). So I HAVE gotten better since learning what I've learned. But yeah, I'm wrong, the streamers don't know how to fight it yet so clearly it can't be fought, right?

Bearbeitet von Dubufu: 12/31/2020 6:01:45 PM
1.15 or 1.5
Blatantly false. You have a 0.73 this season for regular modes like clash and control, and 0.99 for things like elim this season. That's not a big improvement from last season at all. An improvement to be sure, but that can just amount to having more playtime this season. And yes, at the top level, it cannot be fought. Its possible, but stasis overall is easier and has far better neutral game than light Subclasses. The light sublasses has existed for years and yet top players are switching to stasis. Funny how that works out...

And the top players are switching to stasis because it's easy mode. But easy mode doesn't mean unbeatable or counterless. When their overall gameplay starts to suffer because they've relied on stasis too much, they won't be the top players anymore. Will you still trust them then, when they're objectively worse because of relying on stasis? When they start saying "hey so turns out stasis isn't actually as strong as we thought", will you think back to this and say "hey, that guy knew something before the streamers! Maybe they aren't the only ones capable of knowing things..." or will you say "oh man, these guys don't know what they're talking about" when you once believed only streamers could be trusted with knowing if something was too strong or not?
Yes, but stasis will still be the most dominant. Those "counters" aren't really counters. More just things that can almost match up to stasis. Like dawnblade for example. Top tree is capable to dealing with stasis. Shutdown super classes can also deal with stasis, but nobody is using them because stasis is still two times more effective.
When their overall gameplay starts to suffer because they've relied on stasis too much, they won't be the top players anymore. Never rely on a belief that has yet to have any real effect. There are enough ways to avoid being frozen that stasis players just CAN'T freeze you if you know and master them all. There are enough ways to fight back that it can be looked at like any other subclass. I'm sorry that you, and the streamers, haven't figured that out yet.

My KD has improved a good bit in the short time since my swap back to sentinel from behemoth. And that's ONLY because of what I've learned about fighting stasis.
-
Bearbeitet von Dubufu: 12/31/2020 6:35:43 PMAgain...improved by 0.08 And I can say the same with stasis, only far more than your own. An improvement to a 1.6KD is far harder than an improvement to a 0.6KD

Already been over this with someone else, people were quoting my KDA at me, not my KD, and I couldn't be bothered to look up the difference until today. It doesn't matter what level of play you're at. There are Ways to fight anything. You just have to learn them and get good enough at them that you start to counter them on reflex. Improvement can't happen without learning. I was playing daily, for hours on end last season. I've played LESS this season. It's not due to more playtime. I know how to fight stasis, I'm just not to the "mastery" point yet.

I think i'll stick to my stasis build.
-
And by doing so, you'll kill your gameplay over time until you can't win without it.
-
Did fine without it before stasis was introduced. You said it yourself, stasis is easy, and it counters everything I need to counter while giving me superior mobility and damage boosts. Once stasis is nerfed, i'll go back to my riskrunner build on Code of the Earthshaker.
-
My point is that the longer you rely on it, the worse you'll get. I improved significantly when I started using it, then when I stopped, my gameplay was worse than it had ever been. KD won't show you that. My KD didn't change much, but my gameplay did.

Got any gameplay?
