The rest of the game has no replayability. We haven't had a vendor refresh in 2 years. There's still no strike specific loot. We still don't have factions. We still don't have a weekly-featured raid. All of these were features we had in Destiny 1. Why is it so hard to have them now? On top of that, you sunset Dreaming City and Moon gear yet you still charge money for Forsaken and Shadowkeep. We have no reason to visit locations besides Europa. What was the point of bringing back the Cosmodrome if you're not going to give us a reason to go there? I just don't understand why you're so afraid to give us incentives to play old content. The removal of so many strikes makes the problem even worse. If the gameplay loop revolves around grinding core activities, then why haven't those core activities been touched on or updated?
Edit: Also the power system needs to be changed. Monotonous grinding is not fun. Power also matters very little. As many people described it, it feels like you're getting "less weak, not stronger".

I know prophecy was removed for rework but when it’s added back in the dungeons should at least be a powerful. These activities are some of the best in the game, why nullify hard work and a job well done?
