Grenades that freeze, tracking projectiles that freeze, a massive area of effect that freezes+ ult resistance+ ridiculous mobility etc, etc, etc. How am I supposed to counter that? How are F2P players supposed to stand a chance? THREE times I got frozen by the same player during my ult, 2 times I spammed V like a madman and it wasn't enough, oh and the second I got de-frozen I accidentally used my class ability. Statis, lore-wise, is fantastic, I don't know about PvE yet, but the crucible MUST have a smidgin of balance. You took away game modes, you took away content that I PAID for, and you took away DAYS of grinding by sunsetting 70% of everything I've ever gotten, so at the very least get the balance right. Do you want your OP subclass sell point that badly Bungie? fine... don't touch stasis, but DO something about the other subclasses. Make other weapons somewhat competitive. I love Destiny 2, and I was sad and worried about seeing so much of the game go away. If this is the road, fine, but make it worth my time.
