I think an area of improvement that seasonal events could do is by not wearing different armor as a requirement for progression. Not only are the rolls we get from, say, Halloween masks garbage, I have to use resources to level them up and at times re-do my entire loadout so my stats don't suck. Would it be so difficult to do it as a ghost shell or class item? P.s. How about if I paid for the season of the lost ornaments I can use those in the haunted forest instead of a mask with lousy rolls? P.p.s. Crucible stinks
