Not exactly sure what to think about the future of the game. The trailer looks cool but the TWaB's have been lackluster, with the most recent TWaB being outright disappointing.
This summer was touted to be "Unlike anything in the history of Destiny" ~Luke Smith. I've yet to witness anything that would knock your socks off. It's all been.....mediocre.
Idk folks. The lack of information and content is concerning.
Edit: I want this expansion to be amazeballs just like the rest of you. I have 1132hrs in D2 so you could say I'm a fan.

Just play it when it comes out and do what I always do, simply lower your expectations and if it happens to be better then you will feel good about it. Ive out grown any hype when it comes to destiny but Im looking forward to picking up the game again to continue the story

The guy who said 'this season will be like no other time in destiny' tweeted a month or so ago n basically said he was super hyped bcoz 2 years ago he wasn't even a Dev, but a destiny player, he went to college n got a Bungie internship, they made him co lead on this season n he got really really excited and overhyped it bcoz he still couldn't believe where he was working. Then he apologised, end of. The real issue is Bungie heads let that be in the vidoc, let the community and influencers spend the year building up to the season, THEN said this. Almost like they knew it was lies but used it to sell dlcs n then let the new intern be the scapegoat. Shows where the studio priorities lie when interns are leading seasons.

Bearbeitet von MC 077 Lasombra: 10/27/2020 7:40:29 PMLuke Smith is a joke. D1 has problems because of the last minute reboot. Which caused nothing but problems for D1. So what does he do? Reboot D2 at the last minute. The man doesn’t have an original idea in his head. He copies he likes from games he plays.

friendly reminder: Destiny 2 is at capacity. any new content will have to replace old content. Bungie is no longer adding to the game. they're just swapping out content for a price.

Bearbeitet von Yosemite Sam: 10/27/2020 5:14:55 PMI'm going off of their actions because their actions speak a lot louder than their words. From what effort has been put into this game the last year or so versus the past is not a good sign at all. With all these seasons they could have created at least 2 decent expansions, but they choose creating season passes that are literally throw away content and that says enough for me.

So far I have felt my socks have been rocked off. I've been wanting a content vault idea of sorts since Forsaken. Though I wish it was a little more customizable for players to manipulate the game size at will. No reason to go Mars? Delete it. Wanna go back to Venus because of the new content? Download it? No interest in Gambit? Delete it. Being able to decide which patrol zones I wanna go to would be amazing. They could also apply that idea to existing campaigns. All that's necessary is for you to download the required patrol zones to access the campaign missions.

Will only play the new DLC as I got it for free lol

Well hopefully the Vidoc tomorrow will show us some good info on Beyond Light.

Bearbeitet von Lore Oradon: 10/26/2020 7:13:26 AMThe Quote was referring to THE F$#@&$# PYRIMID SHIPS THAT WILL TERAFORM OUR WORLDS!!!! Good bye: Io Mars Mercury Titan This Truly was like no other time in Destiny. The Extra 2 months kinda Stretched it out. In a way making it numb. Edit: just let you know, I'm looking at the game from a Lore Perspective, I'm actually enjoying the Direction the game is going. You see I'm outside of the Box, and all the Complainers are inside the Box. Yes not everyone will see it the way I do, just saying.

"Unlike anything in the history of Destiny" ~Luke Smith ...yeah, because it's worse than literally everything else... sunset my weapons, sunset my buisness... -
It's a good thing it's pretty cheap then, so it's really that much of a big deal if it's a mediocre. I just hope there is enough to keep me interested through the winter hibernation until golf season ⛳🏌️♂️

Bearbeitet von Land: 10/27/2020 12:25:20 AMJust play it casually and stop being so critical. There are plenty of great games coming out in November so its not a big deal.

If bungie hypes aomething without alot of content being revealed it should cause some concern considering their past.
-
Well yeah, Marketing 101 tells us not to be honest about our products. Could you imagine if Luke said: "This summer will be just another season of the same thing you've been doing in the franchise for the last 6 years, only we're going to make a few announcements that really upset some people."?
-
Bungie run out of more and more options as the years go by. That’s why engine updates and so on were announced about 2 TWABS ago. But then you have things like ghosts 2.0, weapons nerfs (and sunsetting), the content vault, the ritual weapon and transmog

We'll see in a few weeks, but it sounds like a minor update again. Removing a bunch of stuff and adding a "seasonal" amount of content. It will be nice having some new stuff to do, but I wouldn't expect much. I'm sure they'll try and TimeGate everything and stretch thin content as far as possible. God, I hope I'm wrong. I like the game my only real issue the bad drop rates and excessive grind for the mostly basic things. Make the squeeze with the juice.
