Destiny 1 on PS5
I was going to buy a PS5, and I wanted to play the original Destiny with my friends, who own PS4s. Is it possible for me to do so? I would assume so, but I just wanted to confirm.

Sony has confirmed that just about every PS4 game will be compatible with the PS5, so the answer is probably. We don't know the specifics of how the play between consoles will work, or how your account will transfer. For example, when the move from PS3 to PS4 happened, your account would basically be a "copy", and any progress you made on one platform would no longer influence the other, so you would have two different saves; one on PS3 and one on PS4. We don't know how Bungie will support D1 on PS5, whether it will do the same transfer, and whether play between the consoles will happen.

You'd be best to inquire Sony because as far as I am aware Sony is removing support for PS3 and PSVita for the ps5.
