Rockets definitely need a damage buff. They had their damage nerf back in the days of auto-reloading, but now that we can no longer do that, they need to see a relatively massive buff, something like 50%. I'm on the fence with LMGs, I think they are in a really good place for add control which includes taking down majors. I don't think these weapons necessarily need to also be boss killing machines.

  • It’s fair that you would want that for lmgs, but gls were good at crowd control or dps depending on the perks you rolled with. Lmgs are pretty limited in that regard as you basically have only one perk lineup for all lmgs. Like the faster firing ones are nice, mostly because they have a lot of ammo, but the slower firing ones are just kinda meh or bad in pve. Seriously, I have never seen anybody use the slow firing ones. I think that the fast firing ones need more ammo and the slow firing ones need more damage, the crowd control one can do more crowd control and the slow firing one actually has a use that doesn’t have too much competition in legendaries (high sustained dps). I’m fine with mid fire rate lmgs being good in pvp and not pve, but the other two need to be good in pve if they aren’t in pvp. The thing with heavy weapons is that if they have a specific roll, they better do it really well because if not you are basically wasting a rare resource for something that could have been done slightly less effectively for way cheaper.

  • Machine guns definitely need a boost. I can see the thought process behind them not being god tier boss DPS. But... they need to at least be able to harm bosses at all. A heavy weapon existing solely for add clear just doesn’t make sense, considering we have primaries and specials that are already exceptional.

  • So you want a heavy that is only as useful as special weapons and primaries? I mean add control is the job of specials and primaries. Heavies are meant to be boss killers ...

  • Not necessarily. 21% Delerium is a perfect example. In solo Dungeon runs or low man raids, this weapon was used frequently for it's ability to shred large groups of adds quickly, including majors. Then special weapons like snipers or grenade launchers would be used for boss damage. We saw this in 2-3 man CoS runs and we saw this in Pit of Heresy encounters for solo completions. I also use LMGs relatively often in Master Nightfalls for taking care of elemental shields, it came in handy for GM Nightfalls as well. I'll also be using 21% Delerium when I try getting my solo flawless Zero Hour, very useful for quickly clearing adds. I get where you are coming from, but not all Power Weapons need to be Boss killers.

Good job, your like any other player Now tho. Let's be smart. Heavy should hit . Well Heavy.. It's a Boss Damager, using it like it's a rifle?? That's just secondary, any GOD LMG would have that ability. Power Weapons need to be Boss Killers, cause AeO damage can still kill a boss. Ad Clearing works on the premise of lots of fire power over a wide area, for maximum effect. AeO damage, DPS, or Rapid Fire Damage all viable means. You can Kill a boss with Focused AoE damage, focused Rapid Fire Damage, just as easily as DPS.
