I stopped reading at bottom tree sentinel, you understand that the shoulder charge can shutdown supers right? All you need to do is hit them and their out and suppressed.
As well that super gets 2 shields to throw I believe, do you know how good the tracking on those things are? I played trials and it bounced off like 4 walls just to hit me, it has constant tracking and it can be spammed, in CQC maps it tears (like wormhaven).
As well suppressors are probably the most powerful grenade in the game with the ability to SHUTDOWN supers, you can be hit by the AoE effect but still take no damage, you can hide behind crates and you will still be hit.
How is there no neutral game? It has better neutral game then top and middle since they both require kills to do anything bottom doesn’t.
Maybe bottom tree sunbreaker isnt that useful but thats because how OP top tree is in PvP, the mini hanmers that come out of your main hammer are just as strong, and you have a shoulder charge.
I dunno where you get the idea that titans are weak

I never said titans are weak, my whole post was arguing about the difficulty of activating their neutral game or the lack of it to begin with. Yes the shield bash suppresses, but the chances of that working is rng because of latency AND good luck actually hitting it and living. The suppressor grenade is a very good grenade, but I was specifically talking about the neutral game of the skill tree itself excluding the interchangeable abilities. Like how it has a perk where it regenerates grenade energy on kills, which is very rare to activate at all in crucible. Or top tree sunbreakers tempered metal. My problem was that, either the lack of ways to consistently activate it or there being a lack to begin with and they do so because they have a shoulder charge melee and typically a more consistently powerful super. But I was comparing all of them to bottom tree striker as well, which effectively has everything except for shoulder charge that can be beneficial in pvp.

You act as if shoulder charge is useless, it had a nerf but it is still the most powerful OHK ability in D2, it is in every subclass and is not hard to hit. And should i also add how shield bash is also a AoE suppresser or not. Players who think subclass trees decide neutral game just want more buffs, titans are OP as is, there supers are probably the most powerful in the game in PvP, and their abilities can negate supers, they also have plenty of op exotics. You cant just say this trees neutral game is terrible, trees consist of 4 perks melee ability, and super are constant among all the trees in all classes, the other 2 are supposed to either add to a previous perk or boost something. Overall im saying you cant just expect a whole tree to be able to have amazing neutral game, look at top tree dawn that should not be so powerful, imagine if titans were like that.

Shoulder charge isn’t bad necessarily. But it’s far from being the best ohk. It’s unsafe and one of the easiest things in general to counter.
-
Throwing knife is much harder to pull off since its a projectile that moves slowly, its more about luck then skill, and Handheld has been nerfed to the point that it easier to kill them shoulder charge. Its the most powerful out of all the abilities, the only way to counter it is with a shotgun and they are aping you from 30 meters ahead and you know what they are doing, but thats only done by absolutely new players in PvP, any titan knows its best to do it in confined spaces a example would be on wormhaven you can easily jump up and get free kills in the middle or turn corners inside and get easy kills. On paper they are sound easy to deal with but in actuality they are the most powerful ability (and each tree has its own gimic, one suppresses, one causes a AoE debuff increasing incoming damage and one is the default shoulder charge) and thats not including peregrine greaves that allows you to one hit supers
-
Both on paper and in reality, shoulder charge is very, VERY easy to deal with.
-
I can tell you right now im PvP its has probably the most kills out of all the OHK abilities since shadowkeep. And you know why? Because its a OP ability, you keep saying “Its easy to deal with” and thats situational, it can be easy to get kills on maps with sharp corners or areas that can be jumped to quickly. A while back I played a PvP match with the Helm that guves infinite shoulder charges and i went positive, I ONLY used shoulder charge no weapons or supers, and im not a good titan main
-
If you think it’s OP, you’re a bottom tier PvP player. The better you are, the less of an issue it is. Even at the lower end of moderate skill levels shoulder charge is not an issue. Like the other OHKs, it’s good for the occasional cheeky kill. But if your opponents aren’t brain dead, it’s not something you can crutch on.
-
I can guarantee im a better PvP player then you, in high level comp its still used there quite often, and is used as a very good ability on small maps that have corridors with sharp turns. You can also watch streamers who main titans they use the ability all the time in Comp.
-
You can’t be that good if you unironically think that shoulder charge is over powered.
-
I said its the most overpowered OHK ability
-
It’s not overpowered. So.
-
You are ignorant
-
I’m not ignorant, you’re just seeking things to complain about. I get that it’s the tradition of the Community though, so I understand.
-
You really just skipped straight to what i said about shoulder charge without reading anything else
-
It’s easy to dismiss you when your conclusion is “reeee shoulder charge OP reeeee”
-
Bearbeitet von Gilgamesh: 4/2/2020 10:44:32 PMWhen i was replying to the other person I only mentioned how out of all the OHK abilities shoulder charge is the most over powered. You simply just didnt read it and dont want to admit it
-
It’s the most situational of the OHKs, so no, it’s not just generally the strongest. Situationally? Sure, I guess. But it’s also got the easiest counterplay. So it’s an ability that can also get little use. It’s also the least safe of the OHK abilities. You’re the one using the phrase “OP”. Shoulder charge is not OP in the least.
-
You have no clue what that means do you? Do you think Over Powered simply means that its the most powerful thing in a game? It isn’t you can use it when referring to a specific class of items/abilities. And its not the easiest of the 3 OHK abilities its the hardest, Handheld can be killed from miles away and has been made much harder to get kills with, and to dodge a the hunter throwing knife you simply have to jump in the air so you aren’t on the same level as them (as well as you dont go straight at them and i mean run head on at them you wont get headshot) shoulder charge is a ability that can be used for cheap and easy kills in CQC maps, you may not ever seen what high comp looks like but its the most used titan ability their.
-
Haha, aight, dude.
-
If he's wrong, what's the strongest ohk ability? Or are you just a garbage troll?
-
My point is that it’s not OP you dolts.
-
Then why did you say all of those other things? I'm a dolt because you don't understand that words have specific meanings?
-
Overpowered is a pretty -blam!-ing clear phrase, lmao.
-
You simply are just another person who skips straight to conclusions on what people say, and just act like they know everything in PvP with looking at statistics and playing it.
-
I didnt say shoulder charge was bad, I said hitting a super with it and walking away is not only insanely risky, but likely to get you killed and sentinels suppression bugs out frequently where it doesnt work at all but still hits the enemy. And to some extent with your dawnblade example, yes I would. Having an air dodge, a good ranged melee, a neutral game that let's you both shoot in the air with less of a penalty and regenerate your melee which is arguably better than grenades themselves on top of having a solid all around super is what makes a good pvp subclass. Although dawnblade itself isn't quite consistent because of latency, it can and will destroy just about anything if it keeps its distance and with the speed it has that's not an issue. I think you should've used bottom tree stormcaller as an example, not dawnblade. Because that skill tree is actually not good.
